Shhhhh, you can hear the BBS collective breathe a sigh of relief that Rivaldo2181 is not the Rockets GM.

Exactly. Take a look at the Phoenix Suns if you want an example of a team relying to much on their starters and those starters eventually starting to wear down and, in some cases, break down for extended periods of time.

Yeah cause I wouldn't sign a 30 something over the hill scrub who couldn't play in San Antonio to a 3 year deal when no one else wanted him:D

They reported on TNT that they did infact bring in Rod Strickland, but he is not in Basketball shape. He is working out with John Lucas to get there.

He will probable come in sooner or later.;)

Yeah, that TNT report was interesting. The way they reported it, it appeared that the Rockets DO want Strickland but need him to get into game shape first. And in the meantime picked up Knight as a quick insurance policy until Strickland is ready to go. They made it sound like they would like to get Strickland no more than 10mpg each night.

So it sounds like we are going to add Strickland in the next few weeks.

They'll probably keep Knight around until Strickland is ready to play. Probably take one more 10 day deal with Knight and then we'll see Rod Strickland in a Rockets uniform sometime around mid Feb.

Strickland closely resembles Bob Sura's style of play. It'll end up a good match. Whereas Barrett and Knight seem to squirt around. Neither having been effective as of late. As a backup to sura it works.

You left out a bit, you forgot to add:

    "on a Rockets team."

I know this sounds stupid...I can't believe I'm saying it..

I think that Rod Strickland will HELP this team - THIS YEAR - RIGHT NOW...I'm telling you, this guy has always been a GREAT distributor of the ball. I really think that he's going to get some minutes down the line and hlp this team. I just have this weird feeling that Rod is going to work well with Yao.

I may be wrong but we'll see...

Yea he should do well, even Jackson showed last year, that someone that knows the game can still play a little. Strickland just has to hit the open shots semi-consistently and I'm sure that the running the team will come along nicely.
