I would'nt mind signing him to a 10 day contract to see what he can do. I'm happy with the production of our 3 guard rotation right now, with Barrett coming in for short energy bursts, but if Sura's knees give out we need some more depth. For the whole season, I'm not sure about Stricklands ability to be productive. I'd rather sign somebody younger from the NBDL or CBA.

Good move, meanwhile why not pull Dennis Rodman out of retirement to fill the need of a rebounding defensive 4?:p

How about giving Reece Gaines a shot? Maybe some playing time might improve his confidence.

    No way.

We should give a chance to a young college guy than an old player even when he's in his prime not that good.

    Brandin Knight?

    Point guard possibilities

Still searching for a third point guard, the Rockets could bring free-agent Rod Strickland in for a workout as soon as today and have recently picked up scouting efforts of CBA and NBDL prospects, including former Pittsburgh guard Brandin Knight, team sources said Thursday.

The team might not be ready to make an offer of even of a 10-day contract, sources said, but wanted to be in a position to move quickly.

Strickland, a 6-3 guard, is a 38-year-old veteran of 16 seasons, playing for nine teams. Knight is averaging 10.1 points and 5.5 assists in 29 minutes per game with the Asheville Altitude of the NBDL.

Great player and pot head. I think it's important to know what's joining the team. Because that's what he is. The dude went on live television completely baked one time, and then George Michael Asked him, what do you think about mar1juana use in the league. I nearly crapped my pants. George michael had guts that night. Rod must have been really high, because he went on about how the whole league was smoking it, and how he didn;'t have a problem with that. From his perspective that is probably true. Personally, I have a problem with it, and look what it did Mo Taylor for an example.

Yes. Great guy. Edc used to do a great job until his hatred for jvd got better of him.

    Moi :D

PS. I like Brandin knight but he is just as small as Barret. I am sure Barret is even better than him. I will take a Vonteego Cummings over Brandin.

Pick him up for a short contract similar to what we did with Mark Jackson last season.

I don't remember anyone crying about Barry.

We all know these guys can play, they are in the NBA. But I think the reason why some fans had "beef" with Wesley is because we gave up a lot to get him. JJ was a big part of this team and had become somewhat of a fan favorite. Whenver you trade someone like JJ, it is human to not accept the other person right away.

Like you said, a 10-day contract really couldn't hurt. But it would be nice to see the Rockets add some youth to this team once in a while. Someone like Arroyo.
