Yea it is. He had to gain like 40 pounds to play the role. Then lost to Hopkins because of the weight he had to lose to fight at 180
Agree with everything you just said. No doubt Rocky IV was the best one, with Rocky III a close second. Rocky IV had quiet possibly the best soundtrack in history...all that great music counts for something, not to mention the incredible workout scenes accompanied -- of course -- by some great music.
Agreed.....I should have said , "According to Tarver" but I'm sure that was a huge factor....It would have been a much closer fight
I can't believe it, but this movie looks like it might be very good! Rocky is my favorite movie of all time, and after Rocky V, I was hoping they wouldn't make another one. But if this one turns out to be as good as it looks, I can't wait. BTW, Rocky I was the best, by FAR -- III was decent, IV was sort of cool (VERY dated), but the first one is a timeless classic (and 1976 Best Picture winner).
War, Training Montage ... nice. Eye of the Tiger has to be the best made-for-movie song of all-time. Do they even make songs just for movies anymore? They did that all the time in the 80s - Footloose, Power of Love, the Flashdance song, etc. I probably just don't keep up with it anymore so I don't have a clue.
