for that god awful, wink-wink deal we signed with Matt Maloney a few years ago? Could this still happen or have we passed Stern's statute of limitations?

Stern was going to investigate us, then he realized that we SIGNED MATT MALONEY. After feeling a little pitty for us, he figured we were punished enough as is.

Yes, and I had heard that Stern even thought of GIVING us 10 extra ping pong balls in next year's lottery for our trouble.

Who cares ? Noone builds through the draft anyway. We don't need no stinking draft picks.

vj23k, if you are talking to me, know that I am being sarcastic. Every team needs the draft, and to take 5 #1's from a team is devestating.

The spurs didnt win till they added Tim Duncan via the draft. We didnt win till we added Robert and Sam through the draft. The Bulls had MJ so they dont count. I might be wrong but didnt they draft Kukoc.

With the new "over the cap" tax, those draft picks are going to be even more valuable to loose. The actions will pretty much keep the wolves from being competitive for at least 7-8 years. I think that, while the commissioner had to do something, he went too far, and basically screwed the Wolves fans. How would you like to be someone wha has paid for season tickets for the next 5 years??
