One of the dumbest moves EVER!!!! They should of never amniestied him. HOU def missed his low post scoring and presence he brings on the court!! Lol and now they want him back!!
Just wanted to echo that Zach Lowe didn't print this "Kevin Mchale is asking about Scola" thing as a rumor, that was the crap Hoops Nation (or whatever) article. Lowe's tidbit was used to indicate how highly Scola is regarded around the league by management and other players.
Thank you! I always thought just cutting Scola was stupid. His game would be perfect playing next to Dwight. Does he suck now that he isn't a Rocket? Um, hell no. Scola can still get his shot off against anybody
The Rockets HAD TO amnesty Scola to create cap space. No amnesty Scola.... NO DWIGHT. Why is this so hard for people to understand. Do a little bit of research on WHY things happened before you place judgement folks. There is this thing called a salary cap. The move was strategic to get a player like Dwight in free agency.
I think my love for Scola peaked when breen went "SCOLA AGAINNNNN AND A FOULLLLLLL.........Seventeen to one."
Why? Adding Scola to the defensively challenged Rockets makes no sense. He is older, slower, and not as effective. Next.
I miss Scola. Everytime I see him make his money jumper on that Pacers squad, or give the opposing forward two or three scoops, I have fond memories of days past.
He can easily be had for a minimum cost. Everything will fall into place if we sign this guy: Spoiler
i'd rather keep jones or dmo off the bench, and get a starting pf in the offseason. jones is better than scola, and scola is declining. u dont want a pf rotation of jones/scola/dmo if u wanna contend
yeah Greece has no Tmacs and he came close (Not really). There was a Greek player who was named Baby Shaq and he wasn't even in the NBA.
Hell no...i don't want Scola. He's a washed up player....his skills is diminishing each year and it looks like time to retire any time soon.
Sorry for polluting the GARM even further, but this development is pretty interesting. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>Sources: L Stephenson & Pacers at impasse. Scola at the vet min is pretty decent.
Don't think so. The amnesty provision applies to the full term of the contract, whether or not he's bought out.
