I think it's kind of silly, but throated=choked. Or, 'performed poorly'. I guess people just get tired of using normal slang...hell, I'm still trying to get use to 'he came in to give the other guy a blow'.

Graham is ready for the NBA, no question. Stephen Graham and Eric Williams won't get drafted in my opinion.

I believe Eric Williams is just using this as an expository/exploratory move. I think he has pre-planned to retuned to Wake or has he already hire an agent? He is a good player though....more like the Udonis Haslem type at least from the Wake games I saw.

If we have a second round pick it's new to me. Williams had a solid workout but he didn't look good enough to get drafted (probably why you say he doesn't plan to stay in the draft).

KAS, it seems to me that the majority of guys were bringing in are either backcourt or swing players. is that the direction you think they are going to take into draft day.... because theres an awful lot of talk here about us taking a 4 in the draft.

I'm not sure if Joey Graham will fall to 24, but I'd sure like to see him in a Rockets uni.

I can answer that without connections or an inside scoop. At 24, they'll be looking for the best available player, regardless of position.

It's early. They're going to bring in a lot of guys. And from what I hear they will bring them in in groups to get a look at guys at the same positions.

I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to it. I'm sure you'll see Simien and warrick and a lot of post players as well. It's just how the workout schedule falls. I could definitely see us taking Graham if he's available but hes the only player whom I'd think would get any consideration unless we add a second rounder.

Unless some if the guys go undrafted...it is always good to get them in to take a look, especially considering potential developement league situation.

Isn't Stephen a guard? I rarely hear a guard being called a banger.

Yeah, he's around 6'5' or 6'6 but he was extremely physical. That was about his only redeeming quality so "banger" was the word that came to mind.

How is Eric Williams supposed to compete with true 3-2's when he's a definite 4? Was the other guy a 4 also... so that they could play some two man games?

May I suggest that you dump the "throat" vernacular? It is too challenging or titillating for some people here. All these extra inquiries distract from what is very cool insider info.

    Whatever YOU want though... thanks!

    KAS13,

Don't let the morons on this board bug you too badly--this board has become incredibly clique-ish and it's too bad.
These updates and insight are VERY helpful and interesting to read--thanks and PLEASE continue to do them!!!

In keeping with your slang why not "humper"?

I dont think he will fall that far either. He is looking more like a mid 1st rounder. Someone in the 14-18 range or so.

KAS, great updates! Keep them up! :)
