Is everyone OK if I lock this? It didn't start very late at all, and it didn't matter. He might have gotten it off two tenths of a second later. The REASON people are pissed is because of the end of the third quarter when the Rockets had 0.5 seconds left to inbound from under their own basket. The Rockets threw it to Harden who had a chance to put it in fairly easily, but the horn blew before he even touched it. They re-did the play (amazingly taking a tenth of a second off) and nothing.
Honestly, I hope the way this series ended will really help this team grow and get that chip on their shoulder they seemed to have lacked this whole series, if not the whole season. Rarely, did the Rockets bring the first punch to their opponent and made them play their style. It was always the opponent sending the first punch and the Rockets fighting back. It hard to win games in the NBA when you're already down. Too many times this season the attitude of the team has been too lax; often getting down by double figures or letting double figure leads go and even both in numerous games. We need that chip on the shoulder and losing like this is one way of getting it.
