Hahaha someone on the nba.com Rockets/Jazz forum thinks Van Gundy can't coach because he has Yao guarding Boozer 15 ft. away from the basket. He wants Hayes to guard him.

Well then, who guards Okur? That guy will rain 3's all day on Yao...Yao can't guard the 3 pt. line. Might as well let him guard Boozer at 15 ft.

Our top 2 is better than anyone's top 2 in the league. Our top 5 is as good as anyone's top 5. Our top 10 is not among the best in the league. However, our coach is among the top 5 in the league.

We're good. We are a team who can win the championship with a decent stroke of luck. Imagine how much it would have helped if by chance, Bonzi showed up in the best shape of his life and was dedicated to the team? That would've made us a better team.

Right now, we're an awesome backup PG away from being as good as the Spurs, regular-season Mavs and Suns. Think Earl Boykins.

We also have a late first rounder and the vet min. The vet min is very valuable to a team that's on the cusp of being a top contender.

Just for example, imagine we sign Earl Boykins, draft a promising project at PF, and one of our guys develop (V-Span, Lucas, Snyder, Novak).

That's a gigantic jump in talent in a league where the parity in talent is tiny.

I believe if Bonzi played well, it is enough to win it all.

What the name of your system to evaluate a team's talents? "A simplistic bull**** approach of evaluation".

Just Wow! JVG's strategy will compensate the talent deficiency of the Rockets to win games!? Jerry Sloan must be stupid.

dont get me wrong, T-mac is my fav rocket on this team, but there is no FREAKING way that he is the best 1-on-1 defender. heck, hes not even the best defender on the team! JVG was quoted once saying that T-mac has the best skills set to defend out of anyone in the league, but he sure as hell didnt go in as so far to say that T-mac was the best defender in the L. Battier is the best defender we have, no question. if we judge according to physical attribute, then Yao is the worst defender (rafer is bad too, but look at his size). Yao is 7-6, bad mobility, not the best reflexes, and hes not a great shot blocker by any strech of the imagination. he didnt even crack top 10 BPG in the L.

dont get me wrong, i am a HUGE rockets fan, but you cant make false claims.

That's a bunch of BULL, we have the talent...JVG has no idea what to do with it, so he throws it under the bus to use a rotation of 7 tired players that the JAZZ aready know how to defend to the tee at this point. If he didnt care about the integrety of the his doghouse then maybe we could have used Novak, Bonzi, or VSPAN! He really fails in player development....Good thing is that Luther developemed himself, did you ever see or hear encouragment from JVG?

It's good to see JVG actually get some love by at least 1 poster on this thread. If we lose Game 7 though... oh boy...
