    ESPN says Josh Smith could be Rockets Plan B. Sounds more like ammo for Plan A. Dwight, Josh BFFs since preschool.

    He's not a piece to contend with at all. Smith is a worthwhile get if you are supplementing him with a bigger and better piece. (Dwight+Smith? Sure!) But if the goal is to add Josh Smith to the roster and then keep Dragic and Lee...blah.

    Josh Smith just do just good enough to keep the Rockets in the middle of the pack, which is where the Rockets don't want to be.

    Say NO to Josh Smith!

    Trade for Howard (then add Josh Smith) or start the rebuilding process.

    Good call. Josh Smith is a nice complementary piece, though I'm not sure what we'd have left after trying to acquire Dwight Howard.

    If he is Plan B (as opposed to part 2 of Plan A), we're just in that same "good enough to challenge for a playoff spot" cycle.

    Im confused do the rox want to pair Josh Smith with Dwight or are they using him as leverage to keep the Dwight price down?

    I think Both moves (Howard or Smith) are to find someone to anchor the defense. Look at the quotes from McHale yesterday. Our offense would still be anchored by Dragic and Scola.
