I agree, but I think we'll have to wait a year for that miracle to come about...

unless we get love or rondo, this offseason has got to be one of the worst.

There is NO reason to be upset by this news. IF they were to match, the Rockets' lineup would be SET for the next 3 years. Set horribly at that. We got a player who will give us the SAME effect for HALF THE PRICE! Thank you, Cuban.

It was a calculated risk, Parsons would be unrestricted next year with out Houston having the opportunity to match. No helping when other orgs offer crazy contracts. Does it make us slightly worse? In the short-term, yes. In the LT? Simply, NO. We still have flexibility and can shore up our bench.

It's simple, keeping chandler at that rate will not win us a 'ship. We need a bench. Signing ariza is of equal talent, plus we have MLE,etc.

I'm glad, despite DH (rumors) trying to persuade morey, that we chose to do what's best for the team and not let players dictate what's best. I still believe we will be better by making this move. Had chandler been offered a better contract, then obv I'd had liked to keep him...but you can't make decisions in hindsight.

This is so frustrating! This backfire will go all the way to Howard being unhappy. Who knows if he re-ups in a few years...

This sucks so bad! I hate Dallas so much for this! Like word can't explain it!

What's not okay is thinking this offseason somehow means we're writing off next season as a loss. Do you guys watch nba games or only play 2k? We still have room to build, but it isn't like we're not contenders...few thought Mavs would have even won it a few years ago, and people always used to write the Spurs off. We still have a young core of players who can get better, including Harden. Dwight is still in his prime. Was this offseason disappointing? Yes, but it isn't like it is over. We can still easily be a 50+ team and once you're in the playoffs, you can't write anybody off. Mavs almost took out Spurs in the first round -- imagine if they had in game 7 or something...we would have all been here saying how old and terrible the Spurs are now, how they should blow it up.

    Man we are fickle lol.

Good bye HOU, hello bigtime. Can't blame the guy for jumping at the money. Plus, his buddy Jeremy is gone.

Jesus guys, c'mon here. We are still a very good team, even if NO other moves are made (unlikely) we will probably have about the same win total as last season.

And Yao and Tmac were a failure partly because of health anyway.

I don't like the move myself, but that contract is horrible, he is worth 2/3 that at best. Let's see what other moves we make.

We can sugar coat this all we want, but the bottom line is that Morey & Co. swung for the fences and lost. That's OK, it happens. I hate that we lost a young key cog in Parsons, but that's the way it goes sometimes. You cut your losses and move on.

Howard set to demand a trade within minutes. Would cap off this horrendous offseason.

I cant believe people are treating this guy like he was some damn superstar

He was a nice player but people are forgetting, he did play with arguably the best center in the league and the best 2 guard in the league.

There is no way in heaven, earth or hell, was Parsons worth 14 million a year.

Cuban is desperate and this move is going to backfire.

Anybody who thinks that Chandler & Ariza "aren't" pretty much the same player , doesn't understand basketball at all.
