Well, the rockets have room to go trading for people now. Morey actually is better at trading for players than signing them recruiting them in free agency.

    What a nightmare offseason.

Hope Morey has something up his sleeves.

Ugh...... at least Lance Stephenson would make sense now to go and get.

Hopefully we can land him for around 11-12 mil.

Exacty, total BS IMO about letting him out a year early as a favor. Blew up in Moreys face big time. Was a terrible terrible move and Im surprised they gambled like that.

In what way are they more flexible. They didn't have max room BEFORE signing Ariza.

Les will go high for big names like Bosh. He won't go high for Parsons. How much tax has he paid over the years? He has the third most profitable team without a local TV deal. He is about that $$$$$$$$$

I'm really surprised. This is definitely going to hurt us depth wise. Not much trade assets either.

Morey's mistake was the miscalculated decision not to exercise the option on Parson's contract, unless he was virtually certain to land Bosh (which never seemed probable except for 15 minutes Friday afternoon). Someone was always going to overpay Parsons. Not matching Parsons at 15m...is itself a reasonable decision.

The more I think about it, the better it is. I liked Chandler but he wasn't worth 15M a year. We'll get the piece we need, so be patient people.

Les is a cheap skate. If we don't have Kevin Love by opening day this offseason was a failure. I don't care how you paint it.

    Wow.

All we had to do this offseason was get a new coach, in reality.

    Sooo......

We traded Lin & a late 1st for cap space,

Traded Asik for a solid 1st no lower than 20th

    Basically Traded Parsons @ 15 mil/per for Ariza @ $8 mil/per & (possibly a $15 mil trade exemption from Dallas with a sign & trade for Parsons),

and we still have about $10mil in cap space?

If anything we've gone sideways with more to come. No need to panic, Parsons was good about not a max guy at all.
