This is such a stupid opinion. It had less to do with money and more to do with future flexibility. Two years with a player option is what did it. Cuban played russian rue let and lost. Bet he tries to get us to do a sign and trade now.

This has got to be the Rockets' worst offseason since Yao retired. :(

Writing off an entire season before it's even started is NOT ok. Don't tell me when Dwight Howard signed here a year ago, that any Rockets fan put there was cool with the organization spinning their wheels for 2+ years before hopefully adding a third superstar to compliment Dwight and James. The idea was we were instant contenders. Maybe we needed a year because of our youth and lack of depth, but Morey has had an entire season to address that and now we're worse off. The team's going backwards and to make matters worse, Dwight is only under contract for 2 more years.

Personally I like the fact that they did not match it...

I like Parsons but that would have been too much and if we did sign him, there would be multiple threads about how we paid too much...

So this was a no win situation for Morey on the GARM..

I've never understood why the media keeps insinuating that. An agent wouldn't leverage the contract of one client (Parsons) against the contract of another (Dwight). It's just totally unethical and makes no sense.

Did these media types really believe that Dwight would have stayed in Los Angeles if Chandler Parsons didn't get paid one year early? It's ludicrous.

No, they really aren't, the Rockets are no longer a 50 win team.

it's called positioning to make a run at KD in the next 2 years.

obvious move is obvious. and smart.

For Ariza a better 1st round pick and still have cap space and possibly all our exceptions to plug ther holes.

People jump the gun so quickly.

    Free agency is not over.

Trades can still happen during the season.

Declaring it was a complete failure and that we are lottery bound is ridiculous.

Count_Dough-Ku has been predicting doomsday for awhile now.

All he ever posts about is doomsday.

Rockets have sucked, continue to suck and will forever suck. Rockets aren't going anywhere, Harden and Howard are gone, back to the lottery, blah blah blah.

    DOOMSDAY!!!

Hahaha keep thinking that he got his butt handed to. Now we will see Dwight's true colors. You don't gamble with so much potential. Chasing stars with so called "flexibility" and no one wants to come here. What's the point? He should be on the hot seat

Stupid move for the current win-now roster. Roster is ready to compete for a championship, yet Morey/Les/whoever executes a move to protect cap room for yet another reaching for the stars future offseason

If Chandler Parsons wasn't Chandler Parsons, i.e., a guy that wasn't on the team last year, you people would all be celebrating the fact that we didn't overpay a player of his caliber.

Sometimes when I read some of the comments on here, I think that they may be paid by the Rockets to do damage control on here and try to balance out the frustration of fans. Otherwise, they just don't make sense to a reasonable mind.

Guys I think moreys not done since he's holding off the NOP trade. Declining parsons must mean he's saving that money for a 3rd star and there's a chance he's working that angle through Asik. I hope it's now bc everyone's gonna be pissed if we just wasted a year waiting for that 3rd player.
