How can we trust any referee from the Tim Donahue era. He did state in his book the referee's would place bets before the games on who they will call foul on first, take players out the game by calling early fouls, and etc. I just can not trust anyone of these old era referee's anymore. Joey is a lousy referee and should have stayed with his family line in baseball umpire. He thinks he is a pre-mo-dona of NBA officials and prime example here:

Hakeem needs to sign a ten-day and see if he can give us a few minutes per.

He let it go when it didn't matter if we won or loss any way. By that time, the momentum was with the Suns, as was the lead.

And so does every other referee in the league, thats how the NBA works. Senority matters, thats why you see Kobe talking to the refs all the time and thats why Jordan was constantly working the refs. If they like you they give you calls, or if they are scared of you.

It doesn't matter who Crawford is helping, he just want to let everybody knows he is in the game. He is a frustrated Diva that love attention.

In every game no matter who playing you know if Crawford was there.

    He just need to go.

Didn't Joey Crawford officiate the 1994 NBA Finals?

    Anybody remember this?

    NBA Referee Joey Crawford Suspended
    Posted Apr 17 2007 1:27PM
NEW YORK, April 17, 2007 – NBA referee Joey Crawford has been indefinitely suspended for improper conduct toward Tim Duncan during the San Antonio Spurs at Dallas Mavericks game on April 15, it was announced today by NBA Commissioner David Stern. The conduct included Crawford's assessment of a second technical foul and ejection of Duncan following laughter by the player while he was seated on the bench, and inappropriate comments made to Duncan during the game.
Crawford's suspension will cover at least the remainder of the 2006-07 season, including the NBA Playoffs and Finals.
"Joey Crawford's handling of this situation failed to meet the standards of professionalism and game management we expect of NBA referees," said Stern. "Especially in light of similar prior acts by this official, a significant suspension is warranted. Although Joey is consistently rated as one of our top referees, he must be held accountable for his actions on the floor, and we will have further discussions with him following the season to be sure he understands his responsibilities."
The incidents occurred with 1:04 remaining in the third period of the Mavericks 91-86 win over the Spurs on Sunday, April 8 at American Airlines Center.

Not tonight... I'm havin' good week so far.

Does anyone remember that scene from "Little Nicky" where Satan was shoving the pineapples up Hitler's Hershey highway while he was wearing a maid's outfit?

A punishment like that would be too good for Joey Crawford.

I think you're right....I really started to notice this after the whole Tim Donoughy situation. It's not that I think they're intentionally shaving points for Vegas odds or whatever, but they definitely seem to know how to control a game on a larger scale. I mean this generally...obviously there's exceptions like blowouts or the few times when their efforts still don't make a difference.

But some of the refs (like Joey Crawford) do seem to have an agenda, and it's obvious they know that all of the fragile momentum a team has built up can be reversed with a single blow of the whistle. The question is...is it based on a personal agenda, or is it something bigger than that?

The Hulksters antics don't sit well with Ric Flair. As evidenced by the beatdown given yesterday in Australia.
