Are you talking about the Rocket Guy who lives in orlando? I can really see how that is a hotbed for Rockets inside info.

DOC--
Also, every trade proposal that has come in " has been for #1 so they can draft Ming." You would die if you heard some of these trade offers!!

Please divulge(cryptic if you'd like) these offers...Even if they won't happen, it'd be interesting to hear at least one of them...Damn it sounds like Rudy & CD have ALOT of faith in Yao's future to turn down such offers

And please tell someone to knock some sense into Steve's head. I know he desperately wants to make the playoffs, but don't let him demand to be moved...PLEASE...haha...The playoffs aren't all they're hyped up to be if you're out in the 1st round, ask KG...

Thanks for the insight

Thanks for the update, Doc. I've always found it dubious that the Rockets would fire Rudy the year before we move into the new arena. So, that's the good news.

The bad news is the confirmation that Steve's feelings are this strong about Ming.

It was one thing when he was this headstrong (nicer word than bratty) with Vancouver. This is a serious drag, though. Windandsea just posted an interview with Ming where he said he hoped he'd go to a team where the players were like brothers, united in a common goal. I don't want this guy to walk into a hostile environment. The culture shock is enough. Coming on to a team where the top two players don't want you is just a shame.

Well...it makes me relieved to read your info, Doc, but I sure don't like those last few sentences. As for us dying over some of the trade proposals, if any of them included Garnett, McGrady, Carter, Marion, or Wallace, you're right. I would probably smack Ruddy and CD. But Ming seems like the real deal. The only thing I hope he can do is...block shots and catch the rock from Stevie and drop in a point-blank hook.

Is is making anyone else sad that Yao is so excited about playing with our young team, like Stevie, and Francis and all them are trashing him when they've never met him or played on the same court as him. It's a crying shame in my opinion.

Troy,

So are you saying we are not drafting Yao Ming? What about that 3 way trade with Houston, Chicago, LAC that you said was a lock? IS that trade still going to happen, and if so do you know any of the players or draft picks being traded? I not making fun of you I would really like to hear your answers if you got one.

to members of the CLUTCH BBS i have enjoyed reading posts on this board for since we were cutchcity.com. I look forward to reading insights into what the rocks may do.. who has the best potential trade etc. The only down side to having the best fan sight period we diss people just because we dont agree with thier veiw or the sorce of their info. The one thing to remember everything said before the rocks anounce that they will keep or trade the #1 is just rumors!!!! Lets be kind to your fellow Rocket FAN... because we are what makes this franchise $

A couple of things.

These guys love Rudy.

To a man, the players will all tell you that Rudy is a great coach and they trust him. They disagree with him sometimes but Francis and Mobley love him as a coach and will give him the benefit of the doubt in most situations.

The players want to win.

A few months ago, we wondered how much guys like Mobley and Francis wanted to win. Now, we find that they are desperate to win NOW and Francis even played through a VERY serious shoulder injury. I don't see this a problem.

Francis wasn't thrilled with last year's pick either.

Maybe no one has mentioned this, but Francis wasn't exactly overjoyed when the Rockets traded for Griffin. I remember reading this in a column last year and having it confirmed later. Of course, his attitude changed when he saw the guy play and got to know him.

Everyone doesn't have to be best buds. They aren't now.

Contrary to popular belief, Mobley, Francis, Moochie and others are the buddy-buddy pals we've heard. They play well together, but they aren't best buds. In fact, a healthy dose of dissention among the ranks is common among competitive athletes. It was common during the Rockets' championship years and the Bulls' and the Lakers' and the Celtics' and the Pistons' and the Spurs'...and so on.

What all this means is that things are ALWAYS relative. What happens today will effect future outcomes but won't necessarily indicate them. We need to pass around quite a few grains of salt. :)

rimbaud,

Leave me out of this one!

First: I have never said TRG told me anything.

Second: I do not know TRG.

Third: I have NEVER, repeat NEVER quoted TRG and stated he was correct on anything.

Yes, Clutch and I were having a conversation regarding Cato, Anderson, Brad Miller and Curry...and I did mention that TRG had posted something about Cato and Chicago. If you read that thread completely you will clearly see that both Clutch and I agree as to the validity of TRG's comments.

Fourth: I think TRG is a moron.

Lastly: I personnally believe Troy is incredibly immature and responds to posts very poorly.:(

Rimbaud.....
What I have noticed, however is that your posts are directed more at assualting and bashing others rather than discussing what everyone here enjoys...information/talking about the Rockets. Why you feel the need to do this is your concern, but I certainly have zero interest in such a dialogue. I wish you all the best.:)

I will continue to post what I hear. It is your choice to listen/read, if you like. Remeber, this is supposed to be fun! If it makes you upset or illicits heavy negative emotions, that is a bad thing. Its all good, man!;)

Anyway,
I'll still stick by my guns on previously posted information until I hear otherwise.

Jeff,
Oh man, nice dip into chaos theory!:)

"Each action results in a different outcome. Outcomes are unpredictable even with the same action."

SWEET! This stuff is right up my alley.

Call me a financial theorist!

That is what you call Real Options. Jeff, can you enlighten us on that. I am sure some of these energy companies would pay alot for someone that could teach derivatives.:D

ron,

Not really. Although I can say that all releases point more and more to previously mentioned scenarios.

I have not talked to anyone for a couple of days...I have been in corporate/charity functions and will be until late Thursday. Not much time for socializing.

I will say that I shot a 73 yesterday at Eagle Point. My personal best! :D

I have never played there before...nice course/beautiful fairways/rolling hills/ good pin placement...overall, quite tough...although a hell of a long drive for a round of golf! I was seriously lucky. I had my swing yesterday. Saturday, I will be back to my normal struggle in the high 80s or 90s depending on how much I SUCK!

On that note, let me add...

Francis for the #2. Straight. Hell, if you can get anything else from the toad... it's a bonus.

If my main source of (dis)information about Yao Ming was coming from such basketball visionaries as TroyBaros, I'd have concerns too.

Got to give you your props Troy. For better or worse your threads bring out everybody. People are crawling out of the woodworks to post here. Even the big wigs let's see there was Clutch and DOC... Even Rocket!!! who although he has never reported anything that has come to pass yet, he sure sounds like he knows what he is talking about.

Now all we need is Popeye and it'll be complete

As someone else pointed out, this is very, very different from what you originally posted. I am very surprised that Clutch is so lenient with you - he has thrown people out for being less offensive than you have been in this thread alone. Might be because you have those "inside sources". I do not doubt that you might know some people in the organization, but that doesn't change anything about this being completely different from what you originally posted:

Old post: Draft Ming and I'm gone/Huge three-way trade with Clippers and Chicago.

New post: If Ming is drafted, they will try to make the playoffs and if, after one year, they don't make it, Francis is gone...

Do you realize the contradiction?

Old Man Rock,

But oeilpere is crazy, and Rocket!!! is pulling you guys legs.

I don't think Doc makes stuff up. Clutch wouldn't risk the site's credibility by associating himself with him otherwise. When Clutch starts associating himself with Rocket!!! maybe we should all start paying a bit more attention. ;)

Now... back to trading that mother fetcher Francis....
