When is a bust a bust? Tracy McGrady, Jermaine O'Neal, even Peja were nothing to write home about when they first came in the league. Would you call them busts now?

If Stevie bolts after giving Yao one year, he's not looking at the big picture.

Same goes for Yao-hating Rocket fans. Actually, as far as I'm concerned, they can bolt after Yao's first year. It's Stevie I'm worried about.

Troy,

How can Francis bolt if he signs an extension this summer? He has already said he would sign one if it is offered.

I think players talk and once Ming comes in here, they will be very happy with his abilities.

TB, you just tried to lend credence to TRG. Even if he has inside info, he exaggerates, he jumps to conclusions. The same ones you're jumping to.

And every time someone mentions TRG, the thread gets locked.

Troy-
Can you tell Stevie to worry about his shoulder and his migranes? Tell him to leave the draft to the experts. Oh ya, one more thing. If we have a bad record next year, the person to blame is himself not anyone else.

Let's see if Steve is the Franchise or just another Starbury!

See now DaDakota I can respect he ask me a question and not some smartass comment.

Francis made his statement before we got the #1 pick.
Francis has stated to several if they Draft Ming and they do not make it to the playoffs he will opt for free agency and he is gone.

Francis wants to win NOW and so do several other veterans who have taken their lumps.
You can't blame him at all for how he feels.

So, where's the scoop?

You're just pointing out the obvious.

'If Ming's situation isn't rectified, the Rockets' my look at other players or trades.'

Oooh, am I an insider now?!

Someone likes the attention...

So, let me clarify:

1. The Rockets want Yao but, if they don't get him, they will either draft Mike Dunleavy or Caron Butler or trade the pick.

Really? Ya' think? This is such breaking news!

2. Steve and Cuttino aren't sold on Yao.

Wow. Another scoop. Next thing you'll be telling us Hakeem was traded to Toronto!

3. If the team continues to suck, Rudy and CD will get fired/resign.

Amazing. I had no idea that if the team was really bad AGAIN, the coach and GM would be held accountable. That is revolutionary.

4. Ming will be horrible, Francis will leave, Rudy and CD will be fired and we will suck for like, forever.

Welcome, Karnack the Magnificent.

Troy, c'mon. The "I know for a fact" postings sound like they are more for the benefit of what would appear to be your massive ego than actually giving out legitimate information.

We knew WEEKS ago that Francis wasn't thrilled. That was well before you came in and told us that "Franics will leave if Ming is drafted." We've known for a long time that Butler and Dunleavy could be the #1 pick if Yao falls through.

You aren't giving out new info. You are just re-packaging it to make it LOOK like new insight.

So if Francis signs his extension THIS SUMMER then how is he going to go anywhere after NEXT season if they don't make the playoffs? Are you saying that this summer he will NOT sign a contract?

Francis is the team's leader and if he wants to win, make the playoffs etc, then it is HIM who needs to step up. He said this himself. Making Ming the "fall guy" if they do or do not make the playoffs is ridiculous and very short sighted.

I am not going to pass judgement on Francis or his "supposed" comments until I hear them myself. And I think Francis should hold off on any judgements on Ming until he starts to play with him.

Troy, If you were wrong before about the Rockets drafting Ming, which you seem to acknowledge, why should anyone believe you are right this time?

If Francis wants to win now, why on earth would he consider Chicago or New York?

While I'm here, I've been wondering... If you're so tight with players on the team, why are you sitting in Section 237, Row P?

Well Troy I have a question:

shouldn't RT and CD be fired FOR taking Dunleavy or Butler at #1?

What stops us from trading down to the 3rd or 4th slot and picking up a nice player (Jaminson@GS) along with either of the two? I hope we dont use a #1 pick on them when they can be had 3-4 picks later...

Except that he is to blame. What othe veterans? Maybe KT? Moochie should be happy with the contract that he was given. Ditto for Mo Taylor and Cato. Cat should be happy with the minutes and the touches that Rudy has granted him. Griffin is not a veteran. As for anyone else, who cares.
