well...the last 2 years, he's had FG% of 40.5% and 41.6%...granted, his 3pt% is respectable in the mid 30%, but you can't call 41% FG consistent.
have to keep in mind it's college basketball though...and against the pac 10 which is hardly a defensive conference.
Anyone knows something about this guy Rashad Jones-Jennings? Apparently he is going to work out for Rockets on 6/5... http://www.ualrtrojans.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=35722&SPID=2823&DB_OEM_ID=7400&ATCLID=919702

A preseason All-America candidate ... One of only eight returning Division-I players to have averaged a double-double in 2005-06." He's 6'8" 230 PF. He averaged 11.1 Rebounds in 05-06 and that led the country. This year he averaged 13.1 boards in two less minutes than the year before. He had 9 games with 15+ rebounds.
jones jennings probably will go undrafted. he has no offensive game with butterfingers and doesnt block shots. he's a slightly taller chuck hayes.
If he works as hard as Chuck and can rebound better than him and with better FT. Then he would be an upgrade... But his FT seems to be pretty bad though.
Agree on Stuckey and Almond. They are my top 2 candidates for the Rockets. Stuckey probably won´t be there at 26 and in the unlikely and regretful case that Almond isn´t there either the Rockets should consider Pruitt or Williams but they might be too high at the 26, in that case maybe trading their pick for two high 2nd rounders (Seattle) would be the best choice.
I am more and more think Rockets will draft Belenilli. If you look back at Adelman's track record at Sacramento -- Peja in 97 and Turkolgu in 2000. He likes Euros and knows how to use them. I won't be surprised that VSpan will have a break through season this year too...
Marco is my choice too, specially with adelman...He has the shot, the brains and the athleticism...His only problem (and the reason why he is a risky pick) is he doesnt seem to get them to work together...Like, he'll be content throwing 3s down (even though he is a very good shooter) when you know perfectly well he can drive to the basket and had the opportunity to do so.... For me he is one appropriate coach from being a hell of a player...Ending up with a coach that won't/can't help in that respect and he'll be a bust....Risky but with Adelman's track record, I'd go for it
My draft order is: Acie Law (gone) Javaris Crittenton (gone) Rodney Stuckey (gone) Marcus Williams (hard to say) Daequan Cook Gabe Pruitt Marco Belinelli Morris Almond I say we draft somebody that can creat his own shot. Not that much to ask, eh? Potential is key. Athleticism is also important.
Morris Almond!!! Get this dude. He is the next star... Hes got the Size, the Shot, the Strength, all he needs is a Rockets Jersey
It looks like Belinelli might be gone too, ie pull out. His buyout is 600k and the salary for the 26th pick is around 750k. http://www.draftexpress.com/viewarticle.php?a=2107
Jared Jordan Has anyone posted this guy? Has really improved opinions of his play at the pre-draft camp. He is just the kind of guy we need. http://www.draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=1094
Sean Williams..if he is available we MUST draft him unless someone from the lottery falls..hes the perfect PF for this team
