    Chad Ford has us taking:

    Marco Belinelli
    Position: SG
    Height: 6-6
    Weight: 200
    Age: 21
    Country: Italy

The skinny: The Rockets could use some improvement in their outside shooting, and Belinelli has one of the best pure strokes in the draft. He also comes with great experience in the Euroleague and should be able to step in and help right away.

If we gets VSpan back, then adding Belinelli would definitely make a lot of sense.

    RealGM has us taking:

    26. Gabe Pruitt
    Combo Guard. USC

Pruitt is a very similar player to Crittenton in terms of athleticism, but he is older and also has a better outside shot. The ceiling on Pruitt is, however, far lower than Crittenton’s. As a junior last season, he averaged 12.5 points and 4.3 assists for the Trojans.

He reminds me of Brent Barry when he was younger, but i dont know if he has the same passing ability.

I think Belinelli would be a great addition for the Rockets. I have only seen clips of him playing but he's got tremendous potential and a good shot. If he slips to us at 26 he'd be a solid pick. He does remind me a lttle of Ginobili.

I have two guys as a must have.

1)Rodney Stuckey 6-4 pg Eastern Wash. We need a big, strong PG that scores at will when needed to. The Rockets need this guy like my fish needs water. Rafer is a career backup, period. More and more teams have scoring PGs now in the West and Stuckey has the ability to keep them on their heels with his own offense. He'd be a steal at 26.

    2) Morris Almond 6-6 sg Rice What can I say except Rashard Lewis. This guy is the best outside shooter in the draft at any position, a SG, which we need, great size and a perfect guy off the bench. You can't teach a shooting touch like his, Redd has it, Allen has it, Hamilton has it, that's it. Oh, did I mention a local kid. This is a no brainer.

    Honorable mention:

    Derrick Byars
    Rudy Fernandez
    Ron Lewis

Again, great, great player. He's a scorer not a passer, so he won't bump Rafer out of the starting spot, but that's his only downside. He gets to the rim well, shoots well, defends pretty well. Best comparison I can think of is Jason Terry.

umm...isnt jason terry a consistent 3pt shooter? pruitt isnt a shooter, he's a slasher that gets to the rim. devin harris is a better comp IMO.

That's a big downside. Just say no to any non playmaker points.

has anyone seen Jason Smith play regularly? I've only seen him play twice. I think he would perfect for the Rockets at 4, perhaps better than McRoberts or Splitter. If trading up for him were possible, I would say we should do it.

Looks as if the rockets are staging a huge workout this weekend in Orlando along with a few other teams. Players that were invited are Jason Smith, Ante Tomic, Sean Williams, Devon Hardin, Morris Almond, Arron Afflalo, Wilson Chandler, Kyrylo Fesenko and Marcus Williams. All this was reported on ESPN's Chad Fords Rumor page this afternoon.

Gabe Pruitt is a consistent shooter. And he's even better stop and pop guy. I think the Devin Harris comparison is because of his size.
