    just an idea NWO...

with the draft anticipation mounting...perhaps its time to turn this into a poll...(involving reasonable draft choices only, of course)

no use cluttering up the board with another carbon copy thread..

Damn!!! I wanted a 2nd round pick badly this year. We don't have any. We gotta make the most out of this pick now.

ESPN's Chad Ford has us going with Marco Bellinelli. Who the f*** is he!!!  With desparate needs at PG and PF we have no time for random international prospects.

Marco Bellinelli is an awesome pick if we can get him. He could be Peja type under Adelman. Has a great shooting ability and high basketball IQ. Athletic enough to dunk fancy 360s slams. Watch his passing ability in the video. I really like this pick and he will flourish in a scoring system like the Princeton. Smart overall prospect with great potential to be a steal in the draft.

Portland has FOUR 2nd round picks so its guaranteed that they will trade at least 2 or 3 or use them to manuever around.

I love his sweet shooting stroke too but what really sells me on this guy is his ability and willingness to finish strong and attack the basket. I have downloaded a few games of his and I find this guy has the ability to become a game changer. He could really be the Peja under Rick Adelman. Some scouts say he already has better touch than Peja and his more like Ray Allen. Very intelligent player who knows how to breakdown defenses and finish above the rim.

I wouldn't hesitate to give them Vspan, Lucas, or Sura for some of those picks.

Still not sold on him. Besides, we have other needs. We're not trying to build the Kings 2.0. Fill the PF/PG needs first then I'll look at this guy.

We need someone that can shoot the ball and drive to the basket. I don't see a PF that would fit us maybe Glen Davis but I'm not sold on him. We need a veteran pg who knows how to run an offense pretty well. I doubt we find a starting PG in the late 1st round especially that could learn an offense so quickly. So we really have to look for a role player at that spot in the draft and Marco really fits well with his shooting and high basketball IQ. I never said we was going to be Peja 2.0 but he can definitely help a team like us that has bad shooters.

Gabe Pruitt is a better fit. He can play and defend both positions.

The fact that he can do a 360 dunk is not impressing me, nor was his scouting report.

Sean Williams is the PF we need but he might not be available. I will, however, take Belinelli over McRoberts any day of the week.

why is everyone so infatuated with sean williams? HE'S A POTHEAD THUG. we dont need that on our team, and morey will not make him the 1st draft pick of his career. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD. HE WAS KICKED OFF HIS TEAM. DO YOU NOT GET THAT HE HAS CHARACTER ISSUES? THEY DONT JUST GO AWAY.

they could be in a position where they need rosters spaces instead of adding.

F**K CHARACTER ISSUES!!!! WE NEED TALENT WHETHER HE'S ON DEATH ROW OR GIVING A SERMON IN CHURCH!!!!

The fact is he is everything we are lacking on the team. Long, quick, athletic player who could rebound and contest shots. Chuck Hayes plays great position D, but we need to be able to switch it up with some length and the ability to put a hand in someone's face.

He's half of what we need, the other is either Gabe Pruitt or Steve Francis.

Trade Alston and Howard for Stevie. Stevie fits Adelman's uptempo style if he wants.

He was kicked off his team for smoking pot. You may call that a character issue others would call it recreation. I know immediate EG comparisons will come up but it doesn't appear to be the same issues. EG came in this league a young emotional disturbed kid. He needed mental help. There are stories that if you tested everyone in the league all on the same day half the league would get busted. Webber is a known pot smoker, Carmelo, Odom...

I am not condoning pot smoking. I would have to see that he is working with Lucas to curtail his need to medicate but if anyone with character could vouch for that and he still shows those athletic skills in the workouts you have to consider him.

He is the type of athlete the Rockets are lacking at the 4 and would not be available if he didn't have the pot smoking character issue.

if the rockets can pick up a early 2nd round pick somehow...Herbert hill out of providence would be a nice bet. Big guy that has some athleticism and more importantly has shown to have a great work ethic.
