Tomorrow is a must win if we hope to secure that 7th seed.
After that we could get blown out by the Lakers for all I care. Both Spurs and Nuggets are vulnerable right now.

San Antonio is garbage...they're missing so many shots.

It's interesting every team is so close between the 6th-8th seed. If Houston and Warriors lose their last 2 games, any of them can end up sliding all the to the 8th spot...WOW. If Lakers losing to Houston and Wolves winning both game, Lakes could end up not making the Playoffs. I can see Utah beating Wolves but against Grizzlies in Memphis? Well, i think they can beat Memphis IF Memphis choose to rest their starters which is possible since by that time, they realize they're not catching up the Clippers. The Spurs could lose to Warriors at Golden State and then beating the Blazers so Houston need to win both games to get 6th seed.

Maybe we should win tomorrow and grab the 7th seed and play the Spurs cuz they suck right now.

The Spurs are going to have a tough time in the playoffs with Parker playing hobbled like this...If we can get into the 7th seed by throwing the Lakers game we need to do it...

Trying to pick a seed is dumb. Play to win, ALWAYS.

In the next two games if the Rockets went:

2-0. They are guaranteed 6 seed
    1-1. Either 6 or 7 seed.
    0-2. Either 7 or 8 seed.

1-1 is likely and I hope it's how we go because the Spurs suck right now. They're really awful.

Anyone predicted the 11 game losing streak that the Blazers had been on?

Everyone said their schedule is harder in the second half but 11 game slide is extreme.

Blazers are obviously tanking, which is what Phoenix Suns should be doing to, but no .... Suns (Especially Scola) really want to beat us for some odd reason.

The Spurs sure look like the much more favorable matchup compared to the Nuggets but lets compare shall we?

The Spurs.. We won one game against them during the season via a James Harden game winner.

    The players..

Doesn't matter how old Duncan is. Look at his averages for this season. He's still arguably the best big man in the Western conference this year.

Parker looked rusty against LA last night but you and i know that he will be his old self come playoffs.

Yes, Manu is hurt and could be rusty if he indeed suits up for the post season but the Spurs have Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green, and Gary Neal who have been good against us.

The only thing that could hurt the Spurs is not having Boris Diaw and losing Stephen Jackson.

Now lets look at the Nuggets situation..

Yes, we are 0-4 against them this season but some of those losses came from us having to play them in Denver off back to backs and missing a key player in Chandler Parsons.

    The players..

They lost their top scorer in Danilo Gallinari.

Kenneth Faried suffered an ankle injury last night and could possibly be out for the 1st round. Still waiting for confirmation.

Ty Lawson, who is their 2nd leading scorer, is also hurt and could be rusty at the start of the post season similar to Tony Parker's situation.

    The Conclusion..

Okay, if the Manimal is out for Denver then who starts for them at power forward? Anthony Randolph? Would you rather go up against a Duncan/Splitter/Bonner/Blair frontline than a Koufus/McGee/Randolph/Mozgov?

Do you think a rusty Ty Lawson is better than a rusty Tony Parker?

Yes, everyone is worried of Andre Igoudala but the Spurs also have Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to defend Harden.

George Karl is a great coach i agree. But who coaches the Spurs? Yep, he's even better alright.

Now ask yourselves, is it really worth stressing yourselves wanting to play one over the other. Lets be realistic here, odds are, we are not beating either of these two teams 4 times out of 7 especially when they own homecourt advantage.

Sure, anything can happen but if you ask me, i could care less if we face Denver or San Antonio. Win our last 2 games and i say NO to trying to manage the outcome of our games to try and finish at a much preferred seeding.

We're very fortunate to already be in the playoffs on year 1 of our rebuilding phase. That's the main goal. We have immensely over-achieved and its something to be damn proud of. Stressing ourselves over which team to play is just being too nit-picky, IMO.

Just enjoy the ride from here on out because this season has already been a huge success for the team and us Rockets fans.

Kenneth Faried will get an MRI on his left ankle on Monday.

X-rays were negative, but George Karl didn't even want to discuss the injury at length until Faried underwent an MRI exam. Right now, the Nuggets are calling it a left ankle sprain, but we'll know exactly what the issue is after the exam on Monday. If Faried is forced out for an extended period, Wilson Chandler should play more power forward for a small Nuggets team with guys like Anthony Randolph and JaVale McGee stepping up as well.

I don't want to wish ill upon anybody but if he is out for the whole series then that would make the 6th seed a lot easier to swallow. Because really, I mean the Spurs just blow right now. They're terrible.

    Jazz vs Lakers

    Lakers clinch if
    -Win on Wednesday or
-Jazz lose one more game

    Jazz clinch if
-Finish 2-0 and Lakers lose on Wednesday

Lakers made it. I doubt Jazz beats Griz
