Black will land on his feet. Cleveland should be calling him soon

    JOEY!

But really, sealclubber is right, why are folks worried about Black (or Dorsey) being picked up by Dallas?

With their 20-10 record, it's unlikely. Cleveland at 17-11 has a worse record and would get his rights over Dallas in this case. San Antonio is at 18-12 so it's a small Christmas miracle in the Rockets favor that the Cavs lost on Christmas Day.

I could see him going to a team like Sacramento, who has a worse record than all 3 teams mentioned above.

Cleveland sounds ideal if he even falls to them. Varejao being out helps the decision.

Morey's frugal ways again ... nah, seriously, Joey's salary could be used as filler in a trade later on.

Also we gave MINN cash in the trade of Troy Daniels, right? We're also going to pay Garcia's guaranteed salary.

I don't think there's a worry that Dallas picks him, but there is a likelihood that they might because they need front court help.

It's the media b****iness that I'm worried about if the Mavs pick him up.

Dorsey's contract is what saved him.

When the Rockets are cutting players that other teams will claim off waivers, it just shows the depth we really have. In the beginning of the year, all the nba pundits were going on and on about how weak our bench was, and how if Harden or Howard would to go down, we would be SOL. Well, Howard went down, and we didn't skip a beat, and now we have a solid bench and i still don't hear too much from the national media about how well the Rockets will do. I'd rather be underestimated, than overrated and it sounds like to me that the national media is Underestimating the Heart of a Champion. Go ROX!

I think most of us expected this to happen. They wanted to pick him up, instead of giving us a 2nd round pick.

I shall miss him. He proved to everyone that he belongs in the NBA. He is a hard worker, and he gave everything that he had against many players who are more talented than him.
    Good luck, Tarik.

I always have a soft spot for players who hustle and play hard every single game. I enjoyed watching Tarik Black and he is a good rebounder.

The NBA is cutthroat. Just a couple of weeks ago, Dwight was injured and and Black was starting. He went from that to being waived. Hopefully he finds another spot and gets a chance to play

    I hate anonymous rep.

    Claim the rep BRO!

    And to respond to you.

Morey does have a heart. That is what great salesmen have. They genuinely care about there customers(in this case players).

Have you noticed one thing that the past few free agents have said?

Brewer: He really wanted me the last few seasons, I wanted to get here etc
Howard: He wanted me in a trade
Josh Smith: He has been wanting to get me

These players fell wanted. It feels good to feel wanted.

    These players know

I thought he played well for a rookie. Definitely appreciate his time here and hope it works out wherever he goes.

EYE feel some type of way about the Mavs potentially scooping him b/c I'm petty, and I'm not here for anything that makes them even marginally better. Tarik >> JuJu at this point, IMO, so..... yeah. Would not like.

As I mentioned in another post, we should all be very appreciative of the job Black did while everyone was out with injuries. Earned 100% respect from me, and he's one of the ones for whom I wish complete success. Thank you, Mr. Black- once a Rocket, always a Rocket (sans Pippen).
