Of all the idea's I have seen I think the trade one is more likely. We are going to need room to accept the extra players from the upcoming trade. Not too sure if the Von tweet is accurate but time will tell.
Haha cu noi!!!!!!!!!!!! What's with all the I want Wafer back? If he didn't make it the first time, the Rockets are going to move on. Plus we don't need another selfish player/individual on this team. I just hate the fact that Von Wafer was offered to stay here in Houston but he wanted more money so he went elsewhere. The fact that he had ONE decent season off the bench and he demanded teams all over the NBA to be throwing money at him. Look at Carl Landry. He has been productive for the last 3 seasons he had in the NBA. This year, he is blowing up. Putting up around 16-18 points off the bench. Von Wafer is not even close to that level and he wanted more money. He had an opportunity to stay with the Rockets, continue to build on his resume for a few years and then he can start looking at bigger offers. Another thing that made him a selfish player is that he got kicked out from the bench to the locker room during the playoffs. I've never seen a role player who complained about his minutes in the playoffs. I mean if he was a star then it would be a little different but he is just a role player off the bench. He doesn't care about distraction to the team or how he was hurting our chances in winning. He worried more about his stats than winning. That we don't need on this team. Indeed he is a good scorer off the bench. But after the entire season of watching Von Wafer played made me realized how much of a selfish player he is. He is more for stats than winning. More for style than productivity.
The Wafer hate is hard to figure out. I keep looking at his stats and then look at our current SG's stats and shake my head at people not wanting him back. The exaggerations, fabrications and fantasies about what he did or did not do last year off the court or on the bench make it even stranger. Can someone find me a quote or a clip of Wafer being disrespectful toward the team or selfish? I don't remember any. I remember a kid who puts points on the board better than any wing on this team. I remember a kid who got TOO fired up in a playoff game and was rightfully disciplined by the coach and was back the next game with an apology and a new attitude. But I guess we should sign another "defensive stopper" at the wing position who can't shoot that ball at 40% or get to the rim more than once a game.
I disagree. That is the type of player this organization tries to avoid, the effort Daryl Morey has made to sign him shows they don't think the same of Von that you do. Sometimes we need someone to be a little selfish. Our current team sometime pass up open shots because they don't want to be "selfish", Von takes those shots, and shoots a pretty high percentage. I would love to have the Vonhawk back in H-Town.
Von have back issues. I don't know how quickly he will recover and be ready to play. Not counting with him this season.
