Most likely "trash" for "trash" Certainly it wont be a blockbuster trade that put us over the hill instantly. Other GMs know we can be taken advantage of right now.
Well that settles it. It must be Spree or some other FA signing. Otherwise, if it was a trade, they could have just cut players after the deal goes through. Can't say I'm surprised. There can't be that much on the trade front right now anyway. And our season is hanging in the balance right now. What do we have to lose.
that is not known right now, something needs to be done though. Some players do not believe in the system anymore.
BTW, I'm sure I speak for many when I say thanks for the insights. I'm sure they'll get done what they need to.
i'm pretty sure feigen wrote that in his column a couple days ago, but i'm too busy to check. oh well, dion just got punk'd. by your mom.
Well.. looks like the wheels are starting to move.. I should be happy, but I DIDNT see us needing moves this early this year
I'm the at the butt of many laughs and finger pointing from my friends because I said the Rockets were going to be really good this season. pft....
Funny....some players don't believe in the system anymore.... GOOD BYE JVG !! Got to change with the times.... DD
My guess for next move=Wesley for Tony Battie Swift (with maybe another player involved) traded later. But, just a wild guess.
Any reason behind suggesting this? I don't think this makes us any better. Sure Wesley has holes in his game but trading him for a frontcourt player we don't really need isn't the best idea. Besides, rarely ever is trading big for small a good idea.
Although there are some things that some of us disagree with Van Gundy, like Yao PnR w/a non-McGrady caliber player, there was nothing wrong with the system last year. The only difference between this year and last year is that they are not doing any of the things that got them on a roll. Mental mistakes are killing them and Wesley, Barry, DA, Juwan, Swift have been disappointing. My only worry is that I hope that the players that are starting to not believe in the system do not include either of the Rocket’s two stars.
Great, I guess they will add Spree to the team soon. If they give him a contract that lasts more than a year, I will be pissed. Another old, over the peak player, another ex-knicks, another short sighted move. Who's next? Allen Houston?
Eh, like I said, a wild guess. But, I would be hard pressed not to think he wouldn't help. The guy plays defense and rebounds. How would that not help the Rockets? Plus, he is a proven commodity (unlike Swift) and can play either the 4/5, which helps considering Deke looks a lot older this season. I know our biggest need is backcourt, but I'm having a hard time finding a realistic option out there that they can acquire. So, you plug a need elsewhere, then you move Swift later when you may have a better option at a better asking price at guard. Just my two cents.
