Maybe the foot thing was serious? It's OK though, now he can get into coaching if he so pleases. If not stay home and get fat.

Wonder if his contract guarantee was coming up. Hope this means a trade (Ryan Anderson; Gorgeui Dieng) is in the works.

Does that mean he's going to stay and coach?

Doesn't sound like they ever expected him to be here long-term. I'm personally hoping this is to clear a spot for Aquille -- not necessarily because I want him here, but because that would mean he isn't pathological/dangerously delusional and I want that for him. In life, you know.

Could anyone tell me what was the issue with keeping him? He will be great leadership for the team even if he doesn't play? Is there a contractual issue?

Without one minute of practice with his new team, Hayes immediately helped the Rockets build a 20 point lead against the heat in the first half. Yeah he still got it... Would be understandable if he is waived due to an injured foot because the Rox should be able to re-acquire him later and bring up Joshua Smith or another BIG. (not sure if Josh could be brought up for someone on IR)

I agree. I wonder if this was merely a way for Les to stick a few bucks in Chuck's pocket to make up for us screwing him over this summer.
