Howard and Asik likely won't be on the court with Harden, probably not much with Lin either (at least not against many quality teams), as the lack of spacing would be killer, but when we're rolling out our bench that are basically just shooters I can see us running a boards and shooters lineup.
Picked up by Philly. Go figure. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Sixers Claim Tim Ohlbrecht, James Anderson <a href="http://t.co/XsUgNHndim">http://t.co/XsUgNHndim</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23nba&src=hash">#nba</a></p>— Hoops Rumors (@HoopsRumors) <a href="https://twitter.com/HoopsRumors/statuses/356949309037608961">July 16, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Ive always been high on anderson, and wondered why McHale never let him backup Harden with decent minutes, because James definitely needed the rest near the end of the season. Not surprised at all by Hinki picking this up....I wouldn't even be surprised if Morey gave Hinkie a heads up before they released these two.
Tim Ohlbrecht didn't get much of a chance to play, but the Celtics were after him before the Rockets signed him. He even turned down an offer from the Celtics to sign with the Rockets. I wonder if the Celtics tried to pick him up off waivers this time around but got scooped by the worse record that Philly has.
I'm not sure that a heads up would matter. The waived player becomes available to all teams at the same time. And it's not like whoever gets there first wins. The team with the worse record wins the waiver claim priority, not the team that puts in the waiver claim first.
I think we had to "throw them in" so that the 76ers would take that loser Royce White off of our hands. lol
Olbrecht, we can do without, he wasn't even that good in the D-League. Anderson, we will miss, he was the only true shooting guard on the team.
Thanks for the info Skyhoop...you gotta figure Morey and Hinkie were definitely at least "talking", even if Philly wasnt highest on the waiver list. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on the 76ers for the next couple of years, to see if Hinkie really pulls off some kind of success.
