I think Anderson played pretty well and started when Beard was out. Ohlbrecht didn't make an impression at all.

Good luck to both of them!

He played a total of 12 minutes last year. So, not surprising he didn't make an impression.

Reggie Williams has accomplished more as a reserve SG in the NBA than James Anderson. They're both pretty much the exact same size.

Williams, Casspi, Cisco? They're all wing players, it really doesn't matter what "position" they are at.

Anderson was basically Reggie Williams with better defense and rebounding.

The big league roster seems set. Whoever Morey signs from now on along with Reggie Williams is likely a reclamation project to see if we can develop someone cheap.

Why are you throwing out a "WTF" here?

Waiving Anderson was necessary to give Dwight the max. This has been known for weeks. What were you expecting? The Rockets had more invested in every other player on the roster. Garcia, Casspi and Williams have not yet been signed, so they weren't "kept over" Anderson. Heck, the Rockets RENOUNCED their rights to Garcia, who will nevertheless re-sign shortly. Future league minimum signings are irrelevant to signing Dwight. Sadly, Anderson was taking up cap room and needed to be waived.

But there is absolutely ZERO "WTF" element here. None. Whatsoever.

What are the salary rules for camp invites? Do they have to be tendered some kind of contract to be in attendance.
