I will only “miss” KJ Martin (who they gave away for two 2nd round picks). Garuba - GSW (meh) TyTy - Milwaukee (2-way, meh) Christopher - Memphis (meh) Nix - Minnesota (WGAS)
Out of the four teams; the one that scares me a little is Garuba and GSW. Also most conflicting. I kinda want to root for Garuba's career after the Rockets, but it's the Warriors. He's off the nice list.
To our misfortune, Garuba has by far the most upside of all of those, to actually become somebody in the NBA.
Nix didn’t earn an acknowledgment. I think Christopher has rotation potential. Garuba is in perfect place to carve out a career.
Nix got a lot of hate on Twitter, because he brought it on, his comments were not something you would want to see from a pro athlete. He is like KD, but without the all world talent. His attitude also sucked, he felt entitled, did nothing for the community, fringe NBA players should be a bit more humble. There are a lot of fringe NBA players, they usually are over valued by fans because people like a good under dog story. When guys like Andre Ingram play some games, or even IT trying to make a comeback they have tons of people cheering them on because they are still somewhat humble and appreciative for the opportunity. There is a reason everyone including his own hometown fanbase hate Nix.
These are the same guys who traded away every first round pick they could until 2029 plus a swap and five players just to pay rudy gobert $200M+ when they already had a franchise player at the same position they had maxed out, they are a bottom 3 run org in the league, I wouldn't be too concerned that they are making smart moves picking up Nix.
They are trash compared to what we have left. Minny gave everything up for Gobert so not surprised if they take a chance on Nix.
The fact is our most garbage player got a spot on an NBA team even Anthony Lamb was playing for GSW and we also hated him.
So what if another teams picks up a player we cut? That happens all the time doesn't mean we have space for him. Minny doesn't have FVV, Amen and Taylor Hudgins. If they did they also won't have space for Nix.
nobody said i wanted Nix back on this team. Ive been saying that everyone who has played under silas has been ass because of the silas tax. They probably aren't as bad as we all think. it's just silas being a trash coach and putting everyone in a terrible situation.
Pretty sure this signing is about the Wolves getting Nix’s G-League rights and not much more. Since Nix came in as a rookie on a two-way contract for the Rockets, the Vipers never secured his returning player rights. By signing and then waiving Nix, the Wolves could get his exclusive G-League rights. Nix is a good G-League player. Nice move by the Wolves for their G-League affiliate.
He is a marginal player or useless player, those players usually eke out a living as deep bench players buried on the bench. There is virtually no system for bench players, they come in and either goon, change the pace and other immediate contributions. If he has no higher scoring abilities and no real good facilitating.......he is likely not an NBA bench player.
Wait, are you actually implying Nix is not trash? Did you ever watch a Rockets game with your eyes open?
Garuba & Tyty are on two way contracts .... doesn't seem to me that teams were falling over themselves to pick up the Rockets cast offs.
i def saw silas make every one on earth think Jalen Green, and Bari were busts while making Sengun question how good he was. So a possibly regular player like Nix can def look like ass playing under Silas.
