The Lakers won't want to lose DH for nothing, so they would like to explore the best trade possible. For GSW, it's almost impossible to get ride of enough contracts to free up $20mil space for DH, they need to either do a S&T with LA, or do a trade involves multiple teams. They can send away Bogut, give up one of Barns or Thompson, maybe plus one draft, which will get them close to that figure. With DH, the GSW will be the best team in the West, the Rockets will be one of the best teams with him. This is not about who is better between Curry and Harden, it's about the style they play. Curry doesn't need to dominate the ball to be a star, but Harden does.
Lakers probably will let go of Howard instead of Sign and trade. They are already have 77m locked in, 50m just from Kobe and Gasol. I think Talent wise, Rockets has more talents, but unfortunate, Rockets has McHale. McHale maybe a good coach if giving the right talents, but unfortunate, McHale is not like Pop or Phil who can make the best out of what they have in the roaster. If I am Howard, I would go with Warriors. Better coach and a complete roaster. Houston still missing the 4.
Since last year, GS and Rockets established some form of rivalry. With the compete for Dwight sweepstakes and GS leaving with Iggy + (best or close to it, defender against Harden) and us with Dwight + it makes for a good beginning to a rivalry.
haha David Hardisty @clutchfans 1 minute ago No matter who wins this, that new rivalry between the Rockets and Warriors is going to be all kinds of fierce this season.
Warriors have assets to trade for Dwight. Rockets have salary cap and not much else. Jerry West >>> Darryl Morey Lakers legend >>> Celtics fanboy
or if they "steal" dwight... i really could care less, ya know, good for them, no one owns him, bt some fans will see it as what should have been ours.
Lin < Curry -2 Harden < Iggy +1 Parsons > Barnes +1 Smith (when we get him) = Lee Howard > Bogut +1 we just need to improve our bench a lot!
