lol, i see why fans are disappointed so much. the betting line is lakers -400. this thread seems to be about rockets -250. i'd love to see us win. but ignoring matchups, etc, i just can't envision us walking off the court winners and lebron walking off the loser. however it has to happen.
If Rocket's games are truly blacked out in China, I do not see the corrupt NBA allowing us to get past their golden boys. Hope the fellas prove me wrong.
Clippers scare me more than Lakers. Rockets in 5. Only game LAL wins is Game 2. Rockets in 7 against Clippers in the WCF
Rockets in 5 OKC strength of 3 headed guards + Dort (Shroder / Shai G-A / CP3) was tough on our facilitators of Westbrook / Harden / EGo. I feel the Lakers biggest weakness is lack of guard play. Rondo comes back; but probably plays with padding on hand. Danny Green and KCP show glimpses; but can they be consistent while expending energy defending Harden/Westbrook/EG/Rivers Caruso is 6’5” with some hops; but probably too slow to keep Westbrook in front of him. Waiters......no way.....no contest. J.R. Smith got no playing time in Blazers series, with good reason. Horton-Tucker and Cook get schooled ——————————————————————————————————— AD and LeBron will each get around 30 points a game; but their role players won’t get enough points to top the Rockets. Harden/Westbrook will each get around 40 points a game. Congrats to Eric Gordon for finding his niche. Better late to the party than never. Westbrook in 3 games vs OKC: game 5 (7 pts)...game 6 (17 pts)...game 7 (20 pts) Each game getting more minutes. Getting healthy just in time (33 minutes in game 7). The best Laker I saw defending Harden was Kuzma......I think Harden still scored at least 37 in that game. Edited: Friend of mine who is a big LeBron / Lakers fan told me was wishing for the Thunder would win game 7 (prior to game). He said he feared the Rockets 3-pt shooting more than anything the Thunder offered. Rockets averaged 18.3 made 3-pointers in the Thunder series at 35.9% (3P%). I feel the Rockets get even better looks while the Lakers play D12/ JaVale MeGee etc.
I have this sinking feeling that we'll be looking back at this series like we did when we lost against Golden State where the NBA basically decided the Rockets weren't allowed to win the series. How many buckets will the refs take off the scoreboard from Harden? How many times will Kuzma or Smith be allowed to run up under Harden while shooting 3s?
I don't blame the refs, we constructed this mess, this is on Morey, Tillman and DAntoni....they built a 3pt shooting team with mediocre to below average 3pt shooters. DD
