What is the talk about Pau this year? Is he going to stay at PF or move to center to make room for Gooden in the line up?

So far Gooden has been real impressive. He has displayed a very shocking perimeter game. Right now I think he comes off the bench but I think he is too good to stay for long. Also Michael Dickerson is back at 100%. The big focus in camp so far has been defense.

On Pau, Pau has worked on two things this offseason:his post game and his body. He CAN play center but I do not think he wants the label. Eventually I think Pau and Gooden start. Gooden is just to good on the boards to keep on the bench.

I dunno if Gooden should start alongside Pau. Pau is so effective at PF, I don't know if the Grizzlies want to mess with that. He was working well with Jason Williams, they had some good chemistry/understanding going, so that's a nice tandem to keep. If Dickerson is truly injury-FREE, and can be the player he was before injury, then that's a perfect compliment to the tandem. Pau can kick it out to Dickerson for wide open shots when he's double teamed. Battier is great for the SF spot, because he's the leader, he's going to do the dirty work, play D and HELP D, he's going to do the little things. So that's a solid starting 4. At the 5, you have Wright, but I seriously doubt his ability to play C, mostly because h's not a shotblocker.

One thing you guys lack is depth and experience, which will keep you from the playoffs by far this year. But if you can do either of these in next year's draft, you'll be fighting for playoffs:

    a) Pick an excellent PG and dump yours (if he doesn't pan out yet again)

    b) or, pick a C, and see how your team does with ooden as the super 6th man who can play the 3 and 4
