and I'm pissed that a player only troll like yourself has the audacity to use we when talking about the Rockets. If DMO's trade wasn't voided you wouldn't be still posting here or care. So don't pretend to care now.

Lawson isn't bringing anything to the team right now. His lackadaisical attitude and ineptitude on defense hurts us a lot. Buying him out is the best situation for both sides:
    1. We get under the LT
    2. Ty gets a chance to "prove himself" and get back some of the money he lost from the non-guarantee (and being a POS)
    3. We can pick up a JJ, Kmart, Miller, or other buyout candidate

There are two potential drawbacks from this move, but I don't see them as big deterrents personally:
    1. Despite what he has shown here, Ty has been a dynamic play-maker throughout his career. If he ever figures it out, he would be a fantastic addition to our playoff run. I'm not holding my breath
    2. His contract would be a great trade chip for us on draft day. However, considering the fact that we are trying to be players in the Durant sweepstakes, I don't see us adding 2016 salary until the Slim Reaper has made his decision.

So if this goes through and I pray Beverley stays healthy we are going into the playoffs in the exact same situation... of we make the playoffs. Please Bev stay healthy.

From career year to one step from out of the league in one season. Amazing.

if we buyout Lawson that means we won't buyout or waive Jones.

I blame James, Ty and mostly the Rocket organization/coaching staff that changed absolutely nothing in the offense to suit Ty's game. We basically turned him into a spot up shooter and setup guy, a.e. John Stockton. No way Ty should be setting up shots for Brewer or passing to Jones for a brickfest. I can't recall the Rockets running one play for Ty the whole season smh. Jason Terry has more plays ran for him than Ty did. Bottom line, NO PLAYMAKING PG belongs here under the current system. James Harden has 200+ more ISO plays than the ENTIRE GS team. A playmaker has no business playing along side Harden

Sadly, I've gotten use to the idea of Jones being here. Good new is he should be gone by next season. :(

Was that ever on the table? We should have just left him in Portland last night. (joke credit to top_five)

I agree with some of you guys

Ty is underrated on this team, he clearly doesn't fit.

Oh well, we'll just move on, he'll excel somewhere else

What is Llull's status? We need extra help at the guard spots since Thornton is nowhere to be found and Ty's about to be bought out.

who knows. But if we waived him he would be picked up 100% by someone so we wouldn't have to pay a penny. With Lawson we will have to most likely.

(not sure if he fits into the teams remaining TPE.)

I see this as a failure from the coaching staff. When McHale was axed I said JB needed to go with him.

He's balling out of control in Spain. He's the perfect 6th man for this team and I believe he could be a real player in the NBA, sadly I don't know if this is ever going to happen.

I think you make it too complicated. He's going into free agency this offseason and must show his mettle to make anything like his last contract. It wasn't working in Houston. A buyout lets him have a do-over somewhere else. He has a chance to gain some leverage. If I were him, I'd be very easygoing about my demands in the buyout.
