Thank you Tim. Please come through with what you said. My vote is for Air Bullard.

i will miss worrell, he is great but if i have to listen to that silly woman, i will search for the opposing teams broadcasts, and listen to them, or turn down the sound of the tv, and tune in to gene peterson, and his sidekick robin.

how many of you guys have actually heard Coop in action doing play-by-play? It's a totally different job than halftime host. For one thing she won't be worried about her appearace as much since she won't be on camera most of the time. I'm not advocating her over Bullard but I don't think she deserves the hatred being spread in this thread.

How about Kenny Smith? He still lives in Houston right?

I'll back up that point. I'll repeat -- we're not looking at her for the Rockets color job -- but she's done a great job in that role for the Comets. If you haven't watched those games, you should.

She gets to focus on basketball commentary there, which she's very comfortable doing. A studio job can sometimes be tougher to learn for someone who has a lot of experience in the sport but not in front of the camera. Good observation.

If your conjecture is correct, and ethnicity is a factor....I dont really have much of a problem with that....surely there is someone, anyone that would be better than Coop.
Hell...if thats the case, and Calvin cant come back ( we miss ya Calvin!)....then hire AB...at least he would be amusing to listen to..;)

I know Tim has already said that they arent planning this......but I want to add my voice to the many others that beg....nay, PLEAD...for anyone but Coop...

If ya ask me(and I know you aint)....Bull did a fine job...and he seemed to get more comfortable as the season went on....

    Bring back Bull!!!!!

It wasn't even a decision, though. Read before you post.

Not childish at all actually. This would mean we would have to put up with her for for 3 hours each game for a 100 games (including playoffs:D )..... .......thats a scary thought, especially when there is Matt right there for the job. This is an opinion based fan site, and most people here dont like her, so nothing wrong with this at all.....

Bullard was Okay, kind of boring. His radio show is the same way, he just doesn't say anything insightful, and for someone who played in the league as long as he did, I expect more. I wouldn't be bothered if they kept Bullard, but I believe they could still do a lot better.

Truth be told, it's commentary along the lines of this that makes me (and other folks here) devalue the feedback of this board on certain issues.

Having fun slagging people is kind of in the spirit of a BBS. But it's not really the kind of thinking you want to bring to bear when making real world decisions.

Not discounting anybody's opinions. All opinions are valid.

Some are more well thought through than others, though.

for my part, I have nothing against cooper as an athlete or a person. none of my remarks are of that ilk. frankly, i gave disclaimer language. she may be smart, intelligent etc. I just don't know because she is totally inarticulate and unwatchable. it's not her fault she does not have the background or training. that much is clear.

but if she is going to put herself in that kind of a job, with that much publicity, the criticism is warranted.
