Rockets may be getting Randolph, according to this Randolph's agent was told he will be traded in 2 weeks, the team getting him has to make a move before it can happen. Might be Rox given the logjam at the 4 and all the young prospects they have. Also take this with a grain of salt because this was the same guy that tweeted the Melo deal was done with NJ. # **BREAKING NEWS** Knicks > Randolph's agent told that Trade would be done within next 2weeks> Walsh waiting 4other team 2 make another move about 4 hours ago via web # **BREAKING NEWS** Source: Anthony Randolph has been alerted that he will be traded in the next 2Weeks. Doublepost , but hope you excuse it Knicks, Nuggets, Twolves discussing 3-team trade. Melo to NYK; Chandler, Corey Brewer, Minny 1st rnd pick to Den; ECurry, ARandolph to Minny http://twitter.com/Chris_Broussard
Shawn Marion is a true 6'7" small forward. D'Antoni used him at the 4 to create mismatches at that position speedwise. True he had great rebounding numbers but c'mon.....Marion was no where near a true 4. He used to be as skinny as a light pole. He's only been putting on weight these last few seasons. True, Diaw was very versatile but I don't think Diaw was anyone that teams game planned for and certainly wasn't a game changer or anyone who could take over a game offensively and defensively.
If Walsh gets Melo for that, they need to another one of those cartoons but with Walsh and Ujiri this time.
Something is definitely gaining some momentum. If Jersey is acquiring another pick from Orlando in return for Troy Murphy; I have a hard time believing this here would be the entire trade. I love the deadline.
This seems like crap. NYK does well, of course. Minny gets AR and Curry but has to give up Brewer and a 1st (which for them is obviously lottery). Brewer is blah, maybe a defensive specialist in the future. The pick is big-time, they have the second-worst record in the league. I like AR, but they have a legitimate shot at #4 or better in the draft. Denver looks like they're giving up here. Brewer is blah, Chandler could just be a product of the system. That draft pick is pretty nice, though. There's no way the trade goes down prior to the deadline. This smells of a team or agent jockeying for position. When trades get "leaked" this early I have very little faith that they will actually occur.
Minnesota would probably be giving up Utah's 2010 1st, which they own. Not even Minnesota's stupid enough to give up a top 5 pick for Randolph, not to mention they can't because next year's pick belongs to the Clippers. So a pick in the 20s, and Chandler and Brewer, two young guys who will be seeking a payday at the end of this year. Why does Denver do this again? At least by keeping Melo they can get into the playoffs and get some playoff moolah. Here they get absolutely nothing.
ChrisMannixSI Knicks/Nuggets/Wolves report is perplexing, mainly because if Walsh gets Melo for Curry/Chandler/Randolph he should be exec of the decade isn't this the truth?
lol, wtf???? Why would Minny give up a top 5 pick and a very legit young player in Corey Brewer, for an expiring plus a very talented PF, probably the position that they least need to upgrade??? Why is Houston "on the outside looking in" (based on this unreal rumor)???? There is no way the NYK only give up ECurry and Chandler for Melo, NO WAY PeAcE
