    K, cool!

About half of this board would disagree with that! We need to upgrade at SF, we are three deep at PG (2 of which can start on many teams)

JJ + 1st round for Randolph. The Knicks like JJ, plus this will clear the spot for Randolph without having to cut anyone from the current roster.

Rather keep the first and draft Jan Vesely. He's a 7 footer who would be great in Adelman's uptempo offense. Like Randolph, Vesely can play 3,4 or 5 but he's a much better defender and 3 pt shooter than Randolph.

We could do that, too, I think.

This would be trading NY's 2012 1st rounder BACK to the Knicks. The idea being, the Knicks would then have more freedom to send picks to Denver in exchange for Carmelo.

    Exactly.

Though dealing for Randolph gives me an even bigger headache thinking about our depth problem. We're going to need a big shakeup to clear some spots for these young guys to give them a chance. I would hate to give up two 1st rounders for two guys who are going to be DNP-CDs.

Is it possible to trade back the lower pick of the two? The Rockets need to maximize their chances of grabbing HS 7ft Center Meyers Leonard in 2012. This kid needs to add more muscle but he's very active around the glass and athletic.

The Rockets already sent their 2012 lotto protected pick to the Nets for Terrence Williams.

Oddly enough, the pick and Terrence are both averaging about the same number of minutes per game. Who woulda thunk it?

I think randolph is more 3 than anything. I think he can be a better version of horry at the 3 spot.

How so? They are not remotely similar. I'd go out on a limb and say Randolph will never be as clutch as Horry. I'm not getting the comparison.

Horry was best as a stretch 4. I think That's AR's sweet spot. Lamar Odom type player.

This IMO is a much better comparison.

Horry was best as a 3 for the rockkets. He was supposed to be the next Larry Nance, but never became that good of a player. What he did though as a 3 was give the rockets 10-13 ppg,6 rebs,1.5 blks, slash to the rim, run the break. Horry was a center coming out and i can tell you Randolph has much more talent as a ball handler and is a better shooter than Horry to me. When the guy played in GSW, he played well. For some reason, he's not playing, but i think his talent and skill set is more than worth the look

I agree Randolph has a ton of talent, he's probably not playing because Dantoni is an idiot and Randolph has questionable work ethic. There has to be a reason why he hasn't played much in his career with the amount of talent he has. Yes I'm sure Nellie and MD has had a little to do with it.

I disagree with Horry being a better 3 than a stretch 4 four the Rockets like REEKO stated. Without looking up stats, I'd say MAYBE they were better as a 3, but he excelled in his role as a 4.

World of talent for Horry, you're right he could have been a Nance or maybe even a Pippen type.

I think everyone was a bit disappointed Horry didn't show up in the regular season like he did the playoffs.

Horry was a great defender, and the best post entry passer in the history of basketball. He also had great BB IQ which is something no one will ever accuse Randolph of.
