There is no doubt that Denver would demand for Fields to be part of the package for Melo, the guy I would like to see here in Houston is Chandler.

too bad the knicks are winning every game and we are still 5 games below 500, nothing is going well these days, whenever i see the record, i feel sad because these players should be better than this, man 9-14, can you believe this

Chandler would be an absolute animal at the 3 for RA. But, I'd rather have Randolph for the long haul.

WHY???? I don't understand why so many people are still high on this guy. GS, a bad team gave up on him. This season in the bad version of the Knicks team(3-8), AR was still finding it difficult to get any PT, hell, even the russian guy was getting time over AR and Mozgov has been awful himslef, to me those are major red flags.

I'm thinking Randolph and Chandler for Chase/Jermaine and the lower of our pick or NY's pick in 2012.

The Rockets first area they need to improve is the point guard position. Even with a healthy Aaron Brooks the Rockets will never have a chance to go deep in the playoffs. Aaron Brooks is at best a 6th man in the NBA, he would not start on any other team in the western conference. How are the Rockets supposed to compete with the western conference powers when we have the worst starting point guard in the west leading our team? Name me one starting point guard in the western conference that Aaron Brooks is better than (And do not say you would take Brooks over Fisher). The Rockets do not need to add another big; we need to add an elite point guard and send Aaron Brooks to the bench with the role of a high energy 6th man (i.e Bobby Jackson on the Kings in the early 2000s).

As long as Kyle Lowry, Aaron Brooks, and Ish Smith are running the team the Rockets will never build a championship contender or go deep in the playoffs even if we were to add an elite big man. You guys need to get off of
the Aaron Brooks, Kyle Lowry, and Ish Smith high. We need a better point guard end of story. If anything we need to keep the Knicks first round pick and try to trade up to draft Kyrie Irving in this years draft.

    Gave up on him?

NYK signed Amar'e, and Walsh's decision to retain Lee depended solely on LeBron's destination. If the King had picked NY, Walsh was going to bring Lee back, but if he burned the Knicks, he already had a deal in place with the GSW -- NY was looking to rebuild around youth and keep their options open for a possible CP3/Melo move down the road, and GS believed they were a piece away from winning now, as they already had Ellis and Curry. Hence, their decision to swap a 21-year-old project and other pieces for an All-Star. They did not "give up" on Randolph, they swung the deal based on the circumstances, a la the Rudy Gay-Shane Battier move.

With the way GM's played hardball in this last draft, i wouldn't bet on trading up.

Randolph will be a difference maker imo. He can challenge shots with his length and athleticism. His game reminds me of Lamar Odom, but with shot blocking. That is a intangible hard to find in the league. Also his offensive game reminds me of Lamar Odom/Antoine Walker can put the ball on the floor, has good foot work, he's long and athletic and has a nice face up game like Chris Bosh. Imo he's a rare kinda talent hard to find for this system. He can play 3 positions hence point-center for a combo forward. Not make PF's in this league has his skill-set. A 6'11 frame who can put the ball on the floor and bring the ball up and is a shot blocker is rare talent.

Well you make Anthony Randolph seem like an all-star. He can play 3 positions, but can't crack New York's lineup? With the way you just described him seems like NY's run and gun style would fit his game the best. He is not playing for a reason; he is overrated.

WOW! I can tell its your 1st post, that may be the most ignorant thing vie ever read in my life.

    Brooks is better than
    Eric Bledsoe
    DERICK FISHER
    Mike Conley
    Luke Ridnour
    Beno Udrih
    Andre Miller

and the combo of him and lowly is as good as Tony Parker and Steph Curry

The main reason i am so "high" on this guy is because he is still only 21-22 and could be molded by our veterans and Hakeem. He has great potential and already 2 years NBA experience.

All i'm saying is Randolph has the skill-set to be a good player. Right now he's riding the bench in NY. That's because his stupid coach makes questionable decisions like not playing Jordan Hill. Their point guard is a half-court player. And in year #2 he missed the season with an injury. So he's a talent that needs to be molded into something special. Antoine Walker/Lamar Odom with shot blocking is his ceiling.

He's still really young with a lot of raw athleticism. I think he will develop into a very nice player. As for not being able to crack NY's rotation, look at Jordan Hill. They didn't give him much of any PT and now that he's in a new setting being given a chance to develop he is looking better and better every game. I think AR has a lot of upside.

He's not playing because they paid another 6'10"-6'11" dude roughly $20 million a year to play instead. I think whether or not Rockets make a move for Randolph will depend if the Rockets organization thinks they still have a legitimate shot at making the playoffs this year; a winning team has no playing time available for a prospect.

every time i see his name i think zach randolph and i'm like wtf are people thinking. anthony randolph is a headcase as well though, if we could keep him in line and not have to worry about losing anything significant to obtain him, i wouldn't mind.

No desire to score, block, drive, rebound and just about everything else he was doing in his highlight mix?

what's up with all these rookies showing up all of a sudden to hate on this possible trade?
