It won't happen because he's a terrible defender, but he's an absolutely explosive scorer -- serious long range threat and easily one of the most gifted athletes around the rim. He gets dogged around these parts for his attitude, work ethic, and character, but he's well worth the risk, IMHO. He's the most efficient three-point shooter in Nuggets history, and wears his emotions on his sleeve. 6'6'' and only 25 years old... he's a very capable 6th man. RA's second unit would be SICK: Courtney Lee J.R. Smith Jermaine Taylor Jordan Hill Anthony Randolph
3 of those guys are shooting guards, your not counting us with AB back(lowry will again be the backup), and you left out chase for some reason.. we already have a log jam at the sg. unless someone else is going this creates more problems...
Lowry Lee Smith Hill Randolph Budinger doesn't deserve to see significant minutes until he refines his shot and learns to contribute on defense. He's arguably been the worst player on the 12-man roster this season. Smith's 6'6'' and has the versatility to play either wing slot. If RA can convince him to commit himself on the defensive end, he has all of the tools to be an absolute menace off the bench.
What skills are you talking about? All AR has is his height and freakish athleticism. In fact, he reminds me of a headcase Shawn Marion. Shawn Marion is worth gold if you don't have a legit PF and you have a Nash at the pg spot. If you have either of those two Shawn Marion is not even worth a 1st round pick, as Marion has no handling or shooting skills to speak off that will make him a threat at the 3 spot. AR is the same, just look at how bad his FG% is. He gets his numbers because he chucks up a lot of shots, on a decent team he wouldn't be allowed to do that sort of stuff. Not only that his attitude sucks as well, wasn't he talking about getting 12M a year...while still on a rookie deal?!
I would probably give up the 2012 pick for Randolph. But if we get Randolph, we really almost have to drop 2 players (a SF and a PF) especially with Yao coming back. I think it is time to jettison those picks for value.
a guy who shoots 80% FT, blocks a shot a game, grabs 8 boards, and hardly turns the ball over because he can get you 10+ points without running any plays for him isn't even worth a first round pick? Really? And that's without having a Steve Nash....
