If we get him, then a Melo trade is more likely since Randolph could replace a pf we "may" trade in hopes of getting him from Denver.

Uh, if we get him, it is to allow NY to get Melo.

That is what NY thinks...... not DM.

Melo is going to decide where he wants to go. Not DM or Donnie Walsh.

I said this simply because a:

    Nenê
    Scola
    Al Harrington
    Afallo/JR
    Billups

Would still be a playoff/dangerous team, instead of going total rebuild like people say Denver will go after Melo era

This is true, the question is, FOR ME, do you think Melo ONLY wants NY???

this summer, but as far as this year, the nets have the most appealing package for the nuggets. which is actually the most important. this is just another instance of the knicks setting themselves up to fail like they did in the lebron sweepstakes. come this time next month the knicks will be below 500, and melo will still be in denver

Not at all. He can go anywhere he wants. He could re-sign with Denver for instance. IMO he is not likely to join Houston, but that can't be ruled out.

Ya i agree with what you said there, and i also think that the "melo will go where his wife dictates" thing is being overplayed. I dont think he'd be willing to go somewhere like new jersey or new york, which would have to gut their teams to get him, and waste away his career just to make her happy, but hey the man could be more whipped than i think

But do you think he will will only make a decision in Free Agency???

I almost have 100% sure that he wants the big money, he will sign that 3 year deal he has on the table, and that is why Denver has something to say.....

Melo wants the Money and Denver wants something out of the deal, and like someone said before, until today, the Nets has the best offer....

So by signing another PF, (AR), it makes you really think about what DM is thinking.....

I think that DM really thinks that AR is going to be a part of the team, and that means that Scola is a very valuable trade asset that you CAN trade.....

And a trade offer with Scola is >>>>>>>>>>>> more valuable then a DFavors, because he will instantly be a contributer to Denver, plus Kenyon is off the books after this season

So this trade makes huge sense to Denver, but the question still remains.... what about Melo???

I have a conspiracy theory, those rumors about Houston trading for Melo even if he doesn´t sign a extension, are coming out because Houston wants Denver to lose leverage when negotiating a trade....

DM can easily say.... What??? do you want Martin??? No way I trade my best player for a rent.... GO talk to Walsh, he will offer a softy Galinari or a 20ish top pick, I will keep my SG stud....... driving the Melo price down.

The thing for AR is not that he is skinny. remember how skinny YAO was when he comes to this league? Just the Bball IQ thing, Swift was a talent player that never becomes great player.

If the Rox really want Randolph then today's Knicks/Denver game is great for them. Fields and Chandler are killing it and the Knicks are showing Melo they have a good team as is...that 1st rd pick becomes valuable again but for different reasons.

It's not just about her. He's also from brooklyn and went through school in the immediate area. It would be like Drexler getting a chance to come to Houston. Overall, her career expands, she makes more money, and moves back home. He too comes home, makes more money, and still has a shot to accomplish things in his career. The family wins all-around. What couple wouldn't want that deal?

Those teams don't have to gut their roster. When the player is more likely to leave the current team is more willing to take less, much like Toronto was for Bosh. Just one promising young player, picks and expirings is likely to get Melo for either the Knicks or Nets.

New York won't have to gut anything if they just sign him this off-season......

Hes 21 years old! for a first round pick you make that trade. His bball Iq is not high but hes competitive and i've seen him not shy away from the spotlight.

6'10 versatile player with his skills are rare. I want that boy on this team.
