Seriously ... Daryl Morey has been so impressive in his debut that I'm already willing to rank him among the league's best GMs (Colangelo, Paxson et al). It's like he just pulled a rabbit out of his hat or something -- and ripped off a division rival, no less. The list of surprising yet impressive moves continues to grow.
Morey continues to impress me. Loved the Mike James trade, love how he aquired two extra draft picks for nothing (love our picks btw), love that he convinced Bonzi to come back for 2.5 mil, and now this! I like Jackie Butler when he was with the Knicks, and I still like him. He does nothing well offensively, but he defends well, using his body, and he'll crash the boards. Indeed, a great backup to Yao. Scola looks real good from what I've seen. This may set the stage for what we do via MLE and trade. PF may not be our #1 target anymore, with Scola, Hayes, Landry, and that Harris guy all looking solid. I'm very interested to see what we do next.
We'll see if our GM is doing right moves here. So will Scola be our starting PF or should Chuck Hayes!? And what's the deal with all these PG's we have!? We gotta let one more go.
Don't get used to it. We're always like this when things are going well which they certainly are after last night!
Team Argentina is a real force in basketball world. We don't hate, we are just a little scared to meet them...
Prepare yourself to an Argetinian Invasion in this board Lot of people here is going to 'share' comments.
Welcome to the board! There are very nice people here at ClutchFans and we always appreciate other fans that can translate/contribute articles for our international players! Now I just hope the Chucky/Scola combo will make everyone happy with the PF position! (Duffy needs to get Chuck signed to the Rockets NOW, before Morey pulls out another rabbit!!! I do not want to have to root for another team!!)
Luis Scola is going to play for Argentina in LAS VEGAS on August along with Carlos Delfino and maybe Andrés Nocioni but without Manu Ginobili, Fabricio Oberto, Walter Herrmann, Pepe Sanchez.- So I think it's going to be very difficult to our team.
I hope those games get televised. That would be a good opportunity to get a early look at Scola against some good competition.
Monsters of the Mid-day on 790 just said that a Spanish newspaper has said that Scola has already told his Spanish club that he is leaving them for the Rockets.
Ha ha...Dont worry I was only joking . I can admit when my team is outmatched. Argentina has produced some impressive NBA players lately. Looking forward to watching Scola become a starter.
