Big difference this time: its not just us saying he is going to be good. If he's a bust, EVERYONE is wrong.

hopefully luis is pissed that the spurs kept him in europe for so long after he's been wanting to come to the NBA. maybe that will motivate him to come over and sign quickly and dominate tim duncan's ass

I have to make a post in this thread for posterity.

Look guys, it is fine to overestimate Morey, but you never freaking UNDERESTIMATE him. I think heck of a lot of GMs underestimated him... thinking he was just a stats guy with no basketball knowledge. Know what I think? He didn't get into MIT for no reason.

In an earlier thread on Rashard Lewis, I posted that Morey was playing Art of War (misdirection) with all of us. If Scola turns out to be 3/4 of what he is in Europe, I will be damn tempted to bring up the draft day thread and repost every comment calling Morey a -censored-, -censored-, - censored-, -censored- and -censored-.

For those of you who think that Scola is not coming to play here, let me say this. If you were a GM, an armchair GM and eventhough you are less capable then every GM in the league, would you seriously trade for Scola even if he is not able to come here this season? I am certain, make that ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN, that Morey was WHOLLY CONVINCED that Scala would be willing to come to play for the Rockets this season.

Now, the sad thing about this trade (if Scola proves to be a success) is that Morey will no lopnger be able to use the age old Art of War tactic of letting other GMs underestimate him, then ripping them apart without them seeing it coming :D

Dudes played against the boozers in international play which mean he can guard the big ones too. I mean who does he really have to guard that is waaay better than boozer...amare and brand are the strongest PFs, he wont lock them down but he will be a presence. TD and KG are finesse players, at least other PFs wont kill us. They'll hurt us but not kill us Boozer style.

    How big is this guy?

I hope this guy can be at least a strong PF who can take and swat shots from Duncan and Boozer.

Oh BTW, if Scola does come here to play (which all indications show that he is), I predict that he will drop 20 and 10 on Tim Duncan in his second game against the Spurs (which will be a blowout victory for the Rockets).

You heard it here first :D

Scola cannot guard Duncan, but who can?

Oberto was his defender in Argentina NT
