I don't see any reason why Scola can't be compensated enough to cover his buyout with his new contract, which seems to be the only question mark on whether he will come this year or not. Plus he will more than likely start on a team with a lineup of Yao, Tracy, Battier, and James. NBA life doesn't get a lot better than that!!

Obviously they could not negotiate with Scola up until the trade and, as always, things "could" change, but it is the Rockets' desire and plan to bring him over this season. That's a fact. It basically says Scola has communicated to the president of TAU his intention to play in Houston next season. The article says that in a communication, Scola explained that his agent will be contacting TAU to iron out the negotiations on his buyout.
