Spanoulis is a moron. Now that he got traded to the Spurs he still doesn't want any part of the NBA. LMAO! Get the hell out of our country you cry baby! :D

    And who's this Luis guy!?

In Europe, he only plays 28 minutes a game as most stars do and not 35 to 40 as they do here.

Thats part of the intimidation factor needed to play D.
At the very least, I'm sure he doesn't suck at it. If he can play decent 1 on 1 D against smaller PF's, thats good enough

I don't see any reason why Scola can't be compensated enough to cover his buyout with his new contract, which seems to be the only question mark on whether he will come this year or not.

Plus he will more than likely start on a team with a lineup of Yao, Tracy, Battier, and James. NBA life doesn't get a lot better than that!!

What I posted is the "plan", according to Morey. Obviously they could not negotiate with Scola up until the trade and, as always, things "could" change, but it is the Rockets' desire and plan to bring him over this season. That's a fact.

Scola is not some young pup like Eliyahu ... he's in his hoops prime. If he wants the NBA, now is the time.

You beat me to it. I'm at work and uanble to give a full translation at the moment. There are no direct quotes from Scola, but I think its legit since it's from YAHOO! Espana. It basically says Scola has communicated to the president of TAU his intention to play in Houston next season. The article says that in a communication, Scola explained that his agent will be contacting TAU to iron out the negotiations on his buyout.

Any error in my cliff note translation was not done on purpose. Corrections or elaborations are welcomed.

I hate doing business with the Spurs, but if V-Span decides that he actually does want to leave the NBA and it ends up hurting them I like it.
