Very likely that Artest, Landry and Brooks get moved for a PG. We'll see.

This is a bit of a shocker but I think someone is joining us from Clippers.

Trading Rafer implies 2 things. They are prepared to get serious in that position. With Yao already declining 2 contract extensions, it's looking like an insta-build case.

Baron I hope you do well here. He's the worst shooter in the league this season. Mac is gone for good. Everything is pointing to this scenario.

Ok, the big question is what Point Gaurd will be available this Summer? This must be a move to bring in someone for next year.

Actually I think this is a awesome trade!!!

Rafer is not gonna shoot over 40 percent so getting his ass outta town was good.

But we should have got that pick that went to memphis instead of brian cook

I don't think lowry will start if another deal isn't made. brooks will start and he's much more reliable at hitting open threes than alston. lowry will spell him and set up shots for the second unit with his penetration skills.

cook is the big man that provides a different look from landry and scola, as he steps out to hit threes at 6'10/6'11.

Agreed. Otherwise, a very bad trade.

In this team, T-Mac and Rafer are the only two guys who can bring 5 plus assists consistly per-game. I am wondering who will run the offense next.
BTW, T-Mac and Rafer do a good job to give Yao the ball.

What was the rest of Rafer's contract like?

Is this move really going to help us out that much financially to warrant not having a legit starting PG? I don't get it.

I hope there is another deal in the works, but something tells me they want to stick it out with Brooks, Lowry, and Barry and see what happens. Maybe Landry is getting dealt now and Cook will get his minutes to spread the floor.

I'd have been thrilled if we picked up Mike Conley. I just don't know enough about Lowry to know how good a trade this is. I'm assuming Cook is a salary dump, or being repackaged to go somewhere else in another deal. Since Rafer's been playing well recently, it certainly is a good time to move him to obtain younger talent, but I'm not sure that Brooks is ready to be consistent in running the team.

It sounds like there may be another trade coming.

wow I am praying that we have something else out there as well because if this is all we did its just terrible. Lowry is even WORSE at shooting the 3 than Rafer and Cook would be our number 4 pf??? ONLY benefit is cutting Cooks 3.5 at the end of the year...woooohoooo??? Man this could single handedly makeup for a good portion of all the GOOD things Morey has done.
