Agreed. Rafer is a solid point guard and he's a big part of this team's chemistry. So much for that now. I'm scratching my head as to what would compel Morey to do this...
wow..unless there's more to this. How does that make us better this season? Rafer's contract expires next season too.
ugh this trade better not be true... lately brooks has not been running the team well... rafer nuu i always disliked rafer when he was chucking it, but lately hes been playing under control and very well...
hope another deal is coming because that was just bad, not that we could get much for Rafer but still....
someone else's desperation (magic) leads to getting rid of Rafer. I think this trade is 70/30. We do get back youth
I think it's more likely they are acquiring assets to make a better trade in the offseason, ala the Bobby Jax deal.
why did we get another forward? does this mean there is another trade waiting for approval? maybe including F carl landry? for a guard? maybe that is why coach is waiting to say anything...
Dude, Brian Cook's 6'9'' and softer than a fluffy pillow. We traded our most consistent point guard, the only player that knew how to direct the offense since McGrady left, a consummate professional and locker room leader, for a second tier young point and an end-of-bench role player?! Without getting any picks? WTF?! This trade absolutely confunds me and ranks as of now as Morey's worst move, BY FAR. I'm more angry at this than at T-Mac being out for the season.
