The only one that they should get rid of long time ago is Luther Head. But he has zero value now so we have to stuck with him.

I see nothing wrong with his stroke. He is pretty good from the FT stripe. I just see him being more hesistant about taking the 3 point shot because he knows he can get to the rim. He will get alot of open looks in the rockets offense, so maybe in time he will improve that percentage.

    vangundy connection.

Don't the Vangundy's really love Rafer.

The move reunites Alston with Coach Stan Van Gundy, who led Miami when Alston played for the Heat in 2003-04. Alston played for Jeff Van Gundy, Stan's brother, in his first two seasons with the Rockets.

Our assistant coaches have done a good job of improving our young players in their weaknesses. Aaron in the beginning of the season was getting too deep in the paint and getting blocked. Von Wafer was a journey man who couldn't shoot consistently. I see Turner working with them before pre-game warm-ups and putting them in drills that have obviously helped them be more effective on the court. I think their coaching can have a similar effect with Lowry. He does look like he has potential.

Plus Morey has a way of making people feel silly for questioning him.

The Rockets have a very tough schedule later this season ... I don't think this trade will make that much of a difference concerning making the post season. If we don't make the post season, it will be due to the four or more games we lost because TSlack was in the lineup.

Do we still have time to develop the potential?
How many years have Rockets been far away from the second round?
Look at what Lakers has done
Look at what Celtics has done

oh noes, he has injury problems.....rafer hurt his ankle last yr too. ankle for ankle

Kyle Lowry: Leaves with Sprained Ankle 2-2-09
Update: Lowry left Thursday's game against the Wizards in the second quarter with a sprained right ankle.
Analysis: Lowry did not score a point in just four minutes on the court. Lowry has seen inconsistent playing time in recent weeks while battling with Mike Conley at point guard.
