If one site I checked is accurate, it will be $3.5 million for this season and next. It says he has a player option for next year. I imagine we'll trade him at some point next season.
He is playing for a worse team than the Rockets and getting less minutes than Rafer. I think that says a lot about his game too
I thought Rafer was good for the team. His defense was always pretty good, and I thought he did a good job distributing the ball, and setting up the offense. His shooting was definitely streaky and there were times when his shot selection was poor, but I didn't think any poorer from other PG in the league who were asked to do similar things for their team. That said, I respect Lowry, and hope the team will improve.
Lowry has attempted 69 three's (17-69), Rafer has attempted 230 (80-230)... he could probably improve upon his 24.6% given 161 more attempts. Numbers are easily skewed if you ONLY look at averages/percentages.
I never seen this Lowry guy play, but Morey is a smart guy he wouldn't do the deal unless the team benefited somehow. I'm looking forward to seein Brooks play lots of minutes.
Not possible, at least not until the offseason. A player traded can not be involved in another deal involving multiple players from the team he is being traded from for 60 days. If we were to trade him by himself, we could, but i doubt that is the case.
i dont like this trade but i will have faith in these new players, good luck. Good luck ralfer, you are going to be miss.
The nice thing about Rafer was that even though he completely lacked the talent, at least he was somewhat mentally tough. He always hit the big shots when they mattered. (most of the time)
