Can't say that this trade excites me in any way. Lowry: MIN: 21.9 FG% .412 3pt%: 246 REB: 2.3 STL: .98 AST: 3.6 TO: 1.61 PTS: 7.6 Rafer: MIN: 33.1 FG% .370 3pt%: .348 REB: 3 STL: 1.19 AST: 5.4 TO: 1.83 PTS: 11.5 The main thing that really sticks out is how poor of a 3 PT shooter Lowry is. I mean Rafer was considered a liability by the team out there and Lowry is shooting 10% lower! Besides Rafer has generally stepped it up with Tmac out. I mean if we were getting an all star then by all means move Skip, but I don't see how this improves us in any way.
Are you all sure we get Cook? Read the article from NBA.Com: ----- Just before the deadline, a three-way deal was consummated between Orlando, Houston and Memphis that sent guard Rafer Alston to the Magic, guard Kyle Lowry from the Grizzlies to Houston and forward Brian Cook to the Grizzlies. Memphis is also getting a future first-round pick from Orlando as part of the deal. http://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/david_aldridge/02/19/trade.20090218/index.html Anyway,I hope the next time they suit up is for NJ.
Good news. I can't wait to see AB start. Next one to go should be Tmac then we'll have a very nice team.
