I wouldn't say he was much better than rafer. Basketball is more than being a better scorer. Lowry is a better scorer, but Rafer is a better overall player. I don't understand this trade, but I'm gona ride it out and see.
He's a career 25% 3pt shooter. On this team, do we get alot of open 3pt looks or no? Our paint is crowded already.
If that is the case, then this season really has been tanked. There is no way they would expect the Rockets to gel with all these changes to make a solid run this year
Rafer has a greatly undervalued, reasonable contract. Brent Barry can't provide a 3 point shot? You're being sarcastic, right?
This trade happened too late for anything else to go down.....I guess we didn't really need Rafer.... I don't think we have any plans to win this year.
Thank goodness. Goodbye SKIP TO MY BOO. This may seem like a minor deal, but I think the removal of Rafer is going to make our offense more respectable. Defenses never respected his broke three point shooting. This may open the door for the return of STEVIE FRANCHISE (my favorite Rocket )
man I'm really hating this move right now.. 1. Rafer has been playing DECENT lately. 2. The Yao-feeding team obviously nees him. See how important he was when he missed the Jazz series and we blew? 3. The incoming "talent" does nothing to improve us this year. Hell it actually hurts us. Lowry is a pure project and Cook is.. well.. a scrub.. that causes a crazy jam at PF for us..
It's funny on draft day Les complained to Wexler on 610 I think that the Rockets should have gotten a pick from Memphis out of the Gay-Battier trade that pick was used to draft Lowry.
Guys...Brian Cook is a really good spot up shooter, I like the deal solely for him. Add some size too.
This is why I have to believe something else is coming. It makes zero sense otherwise, unless the Rockets have committed to full rebuilding mode.
