There is no Hakeem to clean up anybody's mistakes on defense, which means whoever is in the game needs to alert and sharp. Can't have anybody coasting on d when most of our guys are small, and yet the Worriers have clearly shown that small ball can win.

Sorry T-Mac fans, #1 will still not be retired. (Not for you either Michael Carter-Williams -- @Williamson)

If healthy, Markieff would be a great addition, but it sounds iffy that he will return to the court this season. I’d rather have the Clips buyout Wilson Chandler, and the Rockets get him instead. Gortat isn’t needed now that the Rockets have Faried.

Nice to know that he is likely to guard their best wing player.

NBA players when guarded by Shumpert this season (per game):
    Wiggins- 54 possessions, 19 PTS, 72.7 FG%
    Bojan- 50, 17, 54.5%
    Lavine- 49, 13, 50%
    Kawhi- 49, 16, 41.7%
    Butler- 44, 7. 30.7%
    Derozan- 48.5, 14.5, 52.6%
    Durant- 42.5,14.5, 50%
    LeBron- 35, 9, 66.7%
    Tobias- 32.7, 9, 47.1%

So, I wanted to see how these point totals compare to their season avgs per possession. Only picked western conference players.

    Name : PointsPerPossessionAvgforSeason : ExpectedPoints : ActualPoints
    Lebron : 36.1 PTS/100 Poss : 12.635:9
    Durant : 36.8 PTS/100 Poss : 15.64:14.5
    Wiggins : 24.7 PTS/100 Poss : 13.338 : 19
    Derozan: 29.8 PTS/100 Poss : 14.31 : 14.5

It looks like he held Durant and Lebron to lower points per possession but got destroyed by Wiggins and stayed pretty much even with Derozan. Those FG% do not look good but I guess he at least made it difficult for them to score (maybe with ball denial). Not sure what to make of this information.

those guys score on everyone's best wing defender, so as long as his numbers are near the average that's a good thing! imagine if they were guarded by james ennis instead!

Wiggins is his own enemy. Kid has all the tools to be an amazing player, but he has the same problem Tinman from Oz did, no heart.
