KPJ is worth the #18 pick by himself.

"He is the son of former NCAA All-American, NBA All-Star and NBA Champion Juwan Howard (his coach at Michigan) and has three older brothers who play or played NCAA Division I college basketball. He is also related to NBA players Jalen McDaniels and Jaden McDaniels."

He has not proven to be effective wherever he went.

The Rockets went their way to accommodate him with inconsistent results, never forget that.

Lowry remains my second favorite Rocket of all time (after Dream). I love watching him play.

I think KPJ is probably worth the #10 pick all by himself. I seriously doubt that any rookie in the #10 to 18 range can come in and be a consistent scoring threat like KPJ can be.

And dropped into a winning organization like the Heat, with layer upon layer of player accountability, he would thrive. He's actually a perfect fit for their culture, a former castoff that no one wanted.

Guys the reason we would possibly move up from 20 to 18 is really simple.
One of the articles said there were several players we like in that range but most of them got an invite to the "green room" on draft night.
I think last I heard it was 22 total.
But we still thought there would be a few of "our guys" that would drop to #20.

But worse case scenario if no outliers jump up into the top 20 then say after pick #17 there's only 1 or 2 of our guys left we might make a slight trade up to insure we'd get one of them.

Would it be worth taking Duncan Robinson's contract just to move up two spots?
I think I would want a 2nd or two thrown in as a sweetener!
James Nnaji as a Euro stash. Yes please!

That would be interesting. We could find out if Patrick really "does a lot" or sits there while Stone runs the show with Udoka and then just gets the phone passed to him after Stone is done talking to our pick.
