Umm... The Rockets could've gotten Amare. They said no because they feared Amare becoming an albatross of a contract. Ask Knicks fans what they think of Amare's contract right now.

We also rejected a trade for pick 10 from NO, because it cost too much.

I'll agree with everything else though.

Eh, Bosh he tried as hard as he could. If the player doesn't want to come here as a FA, there isn't much Morey can do. As for Carmelo, nothing was going to trump the offer the Knicks gave. And as it turns out, the MASSIVELY overpaid for him. Just because FANS get hyped up and rabid doesn't mean Morey is to blame. He's trying about as hard as any GM in the league to give us fans a team we can be proud of.

I was just thinking of players Morey actually wanted, willing to pay for, and didn't end up ultimately getting. I guess it's possible that he also rejected an offer for a top-5 pick because it was way too costly too.

Ultimately, I do agree that Morey hasn't really done too much at this point. Mostly not his fault. But if he doesn't make noise this offseason, then it WILL be his fault. Because the environment is shaping up in a way where things are actually favorable for us.

Smart move throwing a C to one of the few teams in front of us needing one. Now its more likely one of the top ones fall to us. Probably targeting Leonard. The reason I say that is because there has been no mention of him. I think he really wants Drummond but will settle for Leonard worst case scenario. At the very least we are going to have new C prospect that has the potential to be really good going into next season.

Of course, lest we forget, there is that time the Dallas Cowboys traded away a still-very-good Herschel Walker for just some draft picks.

Those draft picks wound up being Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith.

    The draft is a crapshoot.

I have never seen so many people on CF this late into the night (1106 viewing), we are either true fans or lunatics

I think "lunatic fans" would sum it up nicely.

Never in my life did I think I'd see this much excitement over guys buried at the end of the Bucks bench.

Jon Leuer is one year out of Wisconsin and averaged 14.8 ppg and 7.8 rpg in German league, and 12ppg and 4.3 rbs in the Euro cup during the lockout. Those arnt bad numbers. I'll take it.
