We traded DMo for a mid, first round draft pick. Same thing happened to Enes Kanter last year, who was in the same RFA position and DMo and puts up bigger numbers (18/11 when OKC traded a worse, 1st rounder for him). Do you *always* have to create hyperbole and flat out falsehoods to make your point.

So instead of DMO only fans coming here and becoming Rocket fans, now we have a Rocket fan becoming a DMO only fan.

He wasn't a mediocre player. Starting caliber pfs with all around games and elite specific skillsets and the potential to become 3rd wheels are much more than mediocre. Mediocre is someone like Taj Gibson.

I don't think it's as bad as some people are making it out to be, but regardless of bad back, the odds of a low 1st rounder > Dmo are slim. And the move was to cut $$$$, I believe he was a RFA (correct me if I'm wrong) we didn't have to do anything today, sold as low as we could have.

Enes Kanter also had a historically bad defence. He's a player off the bench not a starting caliber C.

And other RFA got much better hauls..for example Knight. (high first rounder).
It was a sell low move, and if DMO was healthy you know that he would have brought much better back. And if Morey had moved earlier on draft night he also would have brought a better haul.
And if DMO gets healthy he will be worth much more than a low first rounder even with a good contract.

 

Oh right future draft picks, please tell me which player on our current team is a significant contributor that we drafted.
