DMo was one of my favorite players. Going to miss him. My initial feeling is this is a bad trade. Yet, I have no clue "how hurt" DMo's back is. And if it is a long term issue. I have no clue what Morey's plan was with DMo and Tjones with RFA. He might have thought, I am going to trade the one that gets the best return no matter what. And DMo got the 1st round pick.

I understand the thinking, but hate that DMo is the one going and not Jones.

Even if there is no deal the mere fact that we are gonma chase a max fa and thus would have to let DMo walk in the summer this is still a great deal for a guy who is gonna leave. People just cant see past the current season after 7 years of moreyball I guess CF bball IQ has stayed low.

 

They didn't have enough $. They took back 16 (Ilyasova and Jennigns were basically expiring.). They didn't have enough for a 20mil contract. They also are about to pay 25 million (with bird rights) to Drummond and need to extend KCP.
With the Harris trade they took themselves out of major FA for the pf they needed.

The other teams who wanted a pf were Sacramento (now US!!!! ) Toronto with little money and Orlando. That's it.

Daryl Morey has no clue about chemistry and fit.

So much for turning this season around, I guess we get to bare the brunt of our stupid front office.
